Early Closure Of The Gym
Gym has closed early at 10 pm and today at 8 pm .No emails sent to members as claimed not even a notice on the front to alert members about this upon entering the gym which could be very useful . A better communication from the management is warranted as many members are dismayed and frustrated with the unprecedented incident.

Since the Pure Gym took this place over…
Since the Pure Gym took this place over after LA Fitness it doesn't look there was some equipment replacement nor maintained. Some handle bars for Lats would need replacing, leather seats needs attention as some are tearing apart, it would not be bad idea to decorate the place as paint is flaking of the walls lastly the odor in the showers was rather surprising.

15-min passcode arrived 7 hours later
Joined on a 3 day pass, my first time membership with PureGym. Was told access passcode would arrive within 15 minutes. Code hadn’t arrived when I got to the gym so I waited… and waited…… the code arrived 7 hours after I paid for it.
Would have made the first day completely pointless, I was just lucky to catch a member of staff between classes who let me in.

Incredibly simple sign up process
Incredibly simple sign up process, great value for money. Simple to use app and my first visit was good. Clean gym, lots of equipment and great spaces to work out throughout the building. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of joining

PureGym Brighton, havent changed much.
After couple years now I've finally comeback to PureGym at this location. Still the best thing about this place is it available 24/7 and its price, relatively cheap, £25 p/m + joining fee. It has plenty of equipment and space, however I've noticed some stuff are gone, I really like to use after workout power plate, there used to be one over there now it's gone. The place still have a lot of classes, and you can book PT to show you around or help you make some exercise plan, which is great for this price. However, what have annoyed me the most is the bad smell and dirtiness in the place, and I would like to point it straight away that I'm not talking about smell of sweat. Men locker room and showers are particularly bad. Smell of urine and mould in the shower room hits nostril right away, disgusting stains coming off the cabin walls, broken or badly fixed cabin doors and pointy, sharp-edged metal things fixed to the cabin wall, I've already managed to hit my head against it, luckily haven't cut my self but couple days later I can still feel it. This is so annoying that after a couple of years, despite complaining about dirtiness of the place, multiple times, it haven't changed at all, in fact get even worse ...

Clean
Clean, safe, good equipment, good air quality I saw cleaners working hard and even the manager, unseen at my other gym which is disgusting, stinks of sweat dope filthy air and equipment I'm thinking of cancelling altogether at the other gym and upgrade to use this one anytime. So far very impressed

Brighton Central PureGym is excellent…
Brighton Central PureGym is excellent in all respects. Easy access to equipment, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, good changing facilities.
But! Some weeks ago they took the clocks down from the front and back walls. It was very useful to be able to glance up and see what the time was. Now you can't. Please ask them to put the clocks back.

Much better than the other reviews!
Much, much better than the other reviews! Admittedly, I was there early at 7.00am and it was not that busy, but lots of kit and I did not have to wait to use the machines I needed. I am only using it for weights. Changing rooms were clean, warm and after letting the shower run for a bit….lots of hot water. I think you would be hard pushed to find a better gym for the price in Brighton. A word of warning for older folk, don’t turn up and expect a receptionist to show you round, it is all on line and you need to sign up and pay to get a pin that lets you in (and out!) I did the day pass, just to try the gym out and it all worked fine. Have a great time.

Entry code provided did not work
The joining was the easy part. Got my code to get in with my buddy who had invited me. Got to the Gym, the code would not work. The gym was not staffed so we could not get any help. We bought a day pass, but my buddy unfortunately typed in an incorrect email by 1 character! So there was no further experiencing Pure gym for me. It just didn't happen. My buddy meant to introduce me to Pure Gym but it wasn't meant to be, it seems.

Cramped space with too many people
Cramped space with too many people.
Great machines but felt too close to other people
Not the best atmosphere in the gym - other members were very rude and pushy
The gym was nice it was more the people ( which is out of your control completely)

Functional
Visited this gym as a one off and it was fairly busy for a Saturday evening so I imagine it's mobbed at peak times. There's almost no natural light and the air felt humid, which might also be why some of the equipment is rusty. So it's not the nicest space to be in, not even on the nicer end of Pure Gyms. But it has a good range of equipment, it does all work so it does the job.

We pump over 2,000 litres of fresh air into our gyms every second though our ventilation systems. This helps to dilute airborne virus particles and ensure members have clean fresh air to workout.
