Very disappointing
I have been unable to successfully access tge Puregym app.
I have I installed the app, uninstall ed the app, reinstalled the app at least 3 times. This as the app failed to load.
I then turned off my phone for 40 mins whilst the app was uninstalled then reinstalled the app. The app fails to load.
This is spoiling my membership experience to Puregym.

Great Place to improve yourself

Well equipped gym with great staff - sadly let down by poor toilet facilities.
Pros
Very well equipped gym in large modern building with a high roof giving an airy feel. Good location at Bromsgrove Retail Park (parking currently free) alongside Greggs (!), with Home Bargains, Lidl & Aldi nearby. Been a member around 6 months, first gym membership for a while. There were great induction sessions (both general & weights) with friendly, approachable, knowledgeable male & female staff. Most staff also offer personal training sessions privately. Good range of machines, though only one of some machines available, leading to waits at busy times.
I use the detailed workout routines on the app, home exercises also available but I don't use them.
A fair range of classes available, though no yoga.
Cons
Busy at peak times
Currently off-peak member, can only enter until 15.30. Fair enough, except gym seems to fill up with groups of school kids between 3 & 3.30 who spend a lot of time occupying various machines - irritating when there's only one of a certain machine! Off peak members can enter again after 8.30pm.
What really let's this gym down is the shocking state of the men's toilet facilities. Given that most of the members here are male, only 1 WC & 1 urinal upstairs in men's changing rooms, alongside 1 gender neutral accessible WC downstairs. To cap it all, the upstairs urinal has been closed for over two weeks now, full of urine - you can imagine the smell in the changing rooms. Also the downstairs WC is currently out of action, apparently with a broken flush mechanism.
Have complained to staff about the toilet issues, and they informed me that they are waiting for Head office to authorise a repair, with multiple quotes required.
A company the size of PureGym should have maintenance firms pre-approved & on call for all their regions. This is a health & safety issue, the situation is unacceptable. Will update this review once this is resolved.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day.
Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.
We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure this is addressed in club and resolved as soon as possible to ensure a safe environment for staff and members. Thanks, PureGym
Horrendous, would not return
I was in the area for work, never been to a PureGym before, didn’t know it was completely faceless. No staff to be seen, barriers and a code. After an annoying process buying a day pass online then waiting for the code to come through. I was in. Just groups of youngs ‘Bros’ talking in groups, dumbbells all over the floor, Nothing available 0-30kg. Honestly walked in, walked round and left. Definitely there less that 5 minutes.
We’ve just had a PureGym open in my local town and have considered using it before for something different, won’t bother after that.

Clean, spacious and all the gym equipment I need as it’s never too busy to work out. I pay £13 pcm with my vitality membership which is a bargain! Thank you.
