Thuggish Behaviour
I’ve been a member here for many years but the gym has gone badly downhill. It’s dirty and the gym rules are not upheld by a lot of the powerlifting members or by the staff. In fact the staff sit at the desk looking bored and miserable. I experienced abuse and harassment from one of the powerlifters so I reported it. Since then I’ve been victimised by aggressive staring from him and his PT which is both threatening and intimidating. His PTs behaviour is thoroughly unprofessional This has now crossed a line when my personal email was leaked to the bullying thug I believe by either the PT or gym management (they are the only ones with access to this confidential information at this gym). This is now in the hands of the police.

Outstanding gym with a brilliant atmosphere.
PureGym Burgess Hill offers excellent facilities that can meet virtually any training requirement. The staff are experienced, professional, and genuinely supportive, which makes a huge difference.
The member community is one of the best I’ve experienced – diverse, welcoming, and friendly, with people training for everything from specific sports to general health and strength. There’s a real sense of mutual respect and support.
Cleanliness and maintenance are clearly taken seriously, with the gym kept tidy and equipment in great condition. After more than four decades of weight training, I can honestly say this is the best gym I’ve ever trained in.

I really like this gym
I really like this gym; great atmosphere and a real mixture of people use it - some come for the machines, some just for cardio and others for free weights and Power or Olympic lifting. There really is something for everyone here - all ages and backgrounds represented. The trainers and staff are always friendly and helpful and do a great job running such a busy place. It’s the hub of our local community.

I have had a membership with pure gym…
I have had a membership with pure gym for 4 years, my son and my husband are also members, due to having 3 direct debits for 3 separate memberships all being paid from the same bank account, you cancelled my membership so I have had to pay another joining fee to set my membership back up!!!

The day pass system is excellent
The day pass system is excellent. Got sent the pin to access the gym straight away. Gym was well laid out with a enough equipment for the high volume of people at 6.15pm

I picked the pace back up
I picked the pace back up around a month or so and the venue is packed... maybe it is because of the season, I don't know... but it was full inside and out, including the car park.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms are very popular and so can become busy, especially at peak times. The busyness of the gym does fluctuate throughout the day, or depending on the day of the week and you can check how busy the gym is before attending on your PureGym app.

Slow process to deal with account issues
I am in the process of setting up a gym membership with PureGym and I am on my fifth email due to a technical matter with their website even though I received a receipt saying I have joined. A slow clunky process. If I didn't want to join this particular gym for convenience I would now be looking elsewhere.

Great clean inexpensive gym with a wide…
Great clean inexpensive gym with a wide variety of equipment that's not too busy off peak. Good car parking availablity. Would give 5 stars but there is only a water fountain to fill up your water bottle, I find that unhygienic.

Joined the gym in burgess hill then went down there and it was shut due to fire damage which should of been put on the website but the good news is I was emailed with an apology and my start date being moved forward so no loss of my money

When will Burgess Hill reopen
I booked 3 free one day passes for Burgess Hill gym on 31st December to be used on the 7,8 and 8th of Jan.
I haven't been able to use them because the gym is closed. Can you tell me when the gym will reopen and when it does, will my 3 free one day passes still work? I also wish to join.

Our gym shut indefinitely due to fire
Our gym shut indefinitely due to fire. We weren’t offered a suspension in subscription but two unsatisfactory alternatives, thus I was paying membership and unable to use. It was impossible to contact PureGym to discuss. This was eventually rectified.

I have joined on 23rd dec 2024 & with in 2 day, Burgess hill branch is temporarily closed. I understand it was due to accident but none has answer for when will it reopen & costumer service has huge delay in responding & they freezed my account on 4th January 2025.
