I think they offer one of the best setups for fitness lovers. The only downside is that the changing rooms and toilets can be quite unpleasant and smelly at times.

Began a job at PureGym Camberley and…
Began a job at PureGym Camberley and very irritated at the way I was spoken to on my first induction day by the AGM Lucy Banks.
I'm a qualified PT and I am interested in bodybuilding. During one of our conversations made various remarks about hating bodybuilding culture and wanting to keep it out of the gym - which seemed extremely unprofessional given that people have different goals where fitness is concerned. Also made comments about bodybuilding being a vain sport etc. Which made me feel unwelcome as an aspiring bodybuilder.
For this reason I feel like the GM Dan Chapman should have handled the induction process. He is well spoken and has a better way of handling people. Lucy can be a bit abrasive.
I would not recommend the Camberley branch on this basis to anyone, as most of Dan's work on site is delegated to Lucy when he isn't there.

Convenience is key
Convenience is key, never busy at the times I go. Equipment is very clean, I can mind my own business, get in and get out feeling good.

Showers COLD, what a joke…
When I first joined PureGym the showers were nice and hot but the last few months they have been very cold, I asked why this was and was told it was to save money so the temperature has been turned down, what a absolute joke, after a workout have a cold shower then go outside and catch a cold. I’ll be going to JD gym as they aren’t as tight as PureGym and have hot showers.
I’m disgusted

We have recently made slight changes to the shower temperatures, to 33 degrees, both to control our energy usage and to reduce our carbon footprint. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities, and we would like to thank you for passing on these concerns.

Great gym needs better equipment
Great gym, I go the same time around 8-9pm for bodybuilding workouts. I find there are to many treadmills and bikes. There could be more up to date weightlifting machines.

Great experience at Pure Gym
The Pure gym set up is very good. There is a great range of equipment. The staff are both friendly and helpful.

Functional, convenient, clean and tidy. No frills
I would not say my experience was great, it is functional. We have access to the facilities, no frills, a clean and tidy hall with gym equipment to get on with your training at your experience. The monthly fee is appropriate for the use of a clean and tidy room with gym equipment in it.

Good value against its competitors
It’s in a convenient location and not a bad monthly price, otherwise old equipment and lazy gym goers hogging the equipment while doing social media

I think the price is a lot for this gym
I think the price is a lot for a gym with few free weights with one bench when at times the gym has about 30 people in it. Lowering the price would make it better cos I’m just using my home bench and wasting time that could be spent in the gym

Overall good value for money
Wasn’t busy and a good selection of equipment. I would prefer an extra squat rack and one of the showers still hasn’t had privacy glass installed

Runner runner
I primarily go to the gym for cardio and strength exercises. It has all the equipment I need, well located and well staffed.

Classes get cancelled all time
Classes get cancelled all time and sometimes the same class for weeks in a row.. booked a get started appointment to show me where everything is on my first day and even that got cancelled so I ended asking random people in there where I could find the changing room etc.

PureGym is low-cost
PureGym is low-cost, convenient, and provides a good amount of equipment. The negatives are a lack of cleanliness and the music played is too loud, as it drowns out the music on my headphones.
