Good equipment, some of it old. Untidy.
Transferred here from Pure Gym Caerphilly after moving. First thing i noticed was that some of the equipment is old and needs replacing.
The gym has a lot of good equipment, some of which wasn't available in the Caerphilly gym, so you can get a good workout.
The open layout makes the gym look much busier than it is, as you can see all of the other people, however I am able to get on the equipment I need, occasionally needing to wait for something to become free.
I find many of the people at the gym are inconsiderate though. The dumbbell wrack is a prime example of this, as people don't put their dumbbells back in the correct spot. The result is you can't find the dumbbells you want as they are all mixed up, in the wrong place, and not put back together. I tried to tidy the dumbbells one time and found it was mixed up again the next day. I think if staff regularly tidy the rack through the day, users may be more willing to put weights back in the correct place.
The gym is generally clean if not tidy, however be careful when using the changing room, as the cleaners walk in without announcing themselves (female cleaner in male changing room at least).

We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio, but if you have any other/specific suggestions please approach the Gym Manager or leave a note in the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed. It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this. In order to keep the changing facilities to the high standard of cleanliness we expect, regular checks are made in both the male and female changing facilities. This is an operational requirement, and does mean that on occasion, it may be that a member of the opposite sex must enter the changing facilities if it is within a period where there are no female members of the team on shift and vice versa for the male changing facilities. If there are any further concerns, we would ask that you get in touch directly with our dedicated team safespace@puregym.com; a confidential means of alerting us to any behavioural concerns. Possible renew membership
I had been a member and left to join a gym closer to where I live. very pleased to have a day pass ( when the other gym was closed). Easy to arrange as I still have the account with you and even the entry number was the same as before. Am thinking of returning to you.

Very small
Staff were helpful, good equipment and clean.
But the gym itself was very small.
I thought for a while i was missing a door or stairs to another big room or something but then realised that was it.
Can’t imagine going there when it’s busy.

Easy to start
I recently joined Pure Gym, and I’m really impressed! What I like the most is the app—it provides clear instructions for all the equipment and workout routines, which makes it much easier to get started. As a beginner, I was nervous about not knowing how to use the machines, but the app explains everything so well that I feel confident and comfortable.

Temperatures in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Thanks, PureGym
