However- Air con is never on, maybe to save money during the high energy costs, but either way its boiling hot during the summer.
Also machines are quite old, and when one is broken its broken for months. EG pull up machine was out for ages and the seat on the diverging row machine has been broken for as long as i can remember.
Update for 2024 still boiling hot in the gym. Barely any A/C in summer. In response to below surely it should be based in temperature not numer of people in the gym. If my cars hot I don't wait until it's full before I use temperature controls

We provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based upon size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored. On occasion, we can get faults on our ventilation and AC systems which is normal. When this happens, there is a process in place to ensure we arrange for our contractors to attend, investigate and resolve the faults and return the systems back to full working order within a timely manner.

Fantastic gym with a fantastic team !!
Very friendly gym with a fantastic team .. especially Jade. Laura and Keira. I personally mainly do the classes which is why I’ve name those PTs. But all members of staff are fab at what they do. The gym as well is spotless and regularly see staff members cleaning equipment changing rooms etc. love being a part of this gym.

The leg press has been broken for quite…
Puregym, Denton. The leg press has been broken for quite some time now which messes up my workout plan. The hack squat is rubbish and doesn't allow you to go all the way down. I wish they would invest in a glute drive machine and a hyperextension bench because I feel it's the only gym without one now.

Equipment down and taking much longer than usual to get them back up and running. Each week there are more breaking.

Hi I'm pure gym member and have been a member for around 15 years and I enjoy the pure gym, but unfortunately pure gym Denton has really lost its way, cleaning stations have been removed you can't even wipe down machine before and after use, multiple machines are broken and not getting repaired also the cleaning and hygiene of the gym has gone do hill, The disabled toilets door are broken and disabled showers are broken and never cleaned, I really hope you don't ignore this message as pure gym has saved my life and I don't want the gym to go down hill and members star leaving

We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste. We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment.

Good gym with poor cleanliness
Usually love this gym but the past few times I've been I've noticed the cleaning stations removed. Thought it was a one off the first time I'd noticed. Would be nice to continue to have something to wipe the equipment down before I get on them. Also to top this the machines upstairs are now filthy!

Great gym for the price…
I’ve been using this gym for a while and the staff are very friendly and try their best to maintain the gym clean so as a public member I think it’s also our duty to return our equipment after using it.

Most of the cross trainers are wonky. It's an absolute joke. Most of them are on a serious slant despite the floor being flat. They either shake when you're on them as a result or you're on an angle. It's been like this for a while. Otherwise, it's an OK Puregym. Bit of a strange layout.

Changing rooms closed with absolutely…
Changing rooms closed with absolutely no warning. No date of opening. Instead pointed to a manky shower communal shower full of hair. Poor communication. They send enough emails about reviews but can't warn us about that.

Worst gym experience I have ever had.
Worst gym experience I have ever had (Denton PureGym - others have been great). Arrived in morning with just a notice board outside the men's change saying sorry closed for maintenance and to use the ONE disabled shower or toilet as alternative. Great. Every other PureGym seems to give a heads up by email or text?
Plates are all over the place on ground floor with nobody keeping them organized (something i've seen PT's do at other PureGyms).
On top of that it is absolutely freezing. Won't be returning. CBA with the physio cost from injury when I can't physically warm up in 5 degrees.
