Gym far too small for prices
Gym far too small for prices they are charging, and no aircon in the room where classes are held making it far too hot, and pretty much unusable when it’s hot weather. Staff really nice but prices have just been put up and gym is definitely not worth it, needs more classes too compared to other gyms in the area which are actually cheaper

Glossop Gym is welcoming and a real community gym
Glossop Gym is the best gym I’ve ever been a member of it’s a community. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. I love the classes and working out on my own as well now I have the confidence.
The gym is always clean and tidy, really well managed with a welcoming atmosphere.

The showers need attention
The showers need attention. Awful draft under the door makes it very cold when showering. And they need to be cleaned more often. The gym is well stocked and not usually packed. Only about half of the lockers work.

Really good gym
Really good gym, easy access and loads of equipment and free weights. Slight downside of the state of the toilets and showers sometimes, but at the end of the day the gym is open 24 hours (which is great), so there is bound to be a bit of a tidying needed every now and again.
24 hour accessible gym is great, as I can workout before work. Start my day off well!

Glossop PureGym excellent value for money
Glossop PureGym is clean, friendly and helpful staff, lots of classes and a great environment. The staff are very willing to give members advice and guidance. This gym is excellent value for money.

Needs more space
Great gym just a little to small when you have more than 20 people in difficult to get into the gym area and I would love a larger exercise mat again one 2 or 3 people training in that area very difficult to get into the space.

I had access to over 200 gyms for…
I had access to over 200 gyms for £17.99pcm. They removed this without informing me and wanted to charge £25.99 pcm to change my home gym!! This would be off peak and without access to the 200 gyms!! Rip off. Will be cancelling if they don’t sort it.
My response to the reply from pure gym is that if I’d have changed my home gym to Glossop when I did the upgrade I would still only be paying £17.99pcm. You are shifting the goal posts. I only used to pay £10.99 at Ashton for off peak! When I upgraded I saw my access was to over 200 gyms which included Glossop so I didn’t bother changing my home gym. IT WAS NEVER MADE CLEAR WHEN I UPGRADED THAT THIS ACCESS WAS FOR A LIMITED PERIOD. Otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered.

Up until the 31st August we were running a national promotion for all members who were on the Core membership which gave them access to all of our gyms at no extra cost. An email was sent to all members informing them of this.

Inductions can be booked directly through the Gym Manager if one is needed.
The gym staff will always be on the Gym floor unless in a PT session, class or if you visit in the unmanned hours. They will always be more than happy to help where possible and answer any questions in regards to the gym/equipment.
The app is also great for new members as it contains lots of useful information, tips, online classes and resources plus more for members to use!
