Weights and equipment OK but very disappointed in the atmosphere of this fitness centre from both fitness enthusiasts and workers. Just because you're more experienced in the gym doesn't mean you are better than everyone else and can look down on others.
Even personal trainers who have a duty of care leave juvenile comments which fully name pure gym members from their customer database. These members may or may not even be involved but is a desperate attempt to aimlessly libel gymgoers that aren't paying clients. The reviews write that they stink, do indecent behaviour, harass women and derogatory comments on their body and how they're insecure etcetera, the typical unoriginal allegations that online commenters do to make you think they're a pedo or something. The reviews also contain concrete allegations which the workers are the only ones actually doing, so this sounds more like projection. The worse ones have been deleted to hide them but the workers accidently exposed themselves already.
The same clients who monopolize the equipment for their pricey sessions also leave many reviews for their trainer. Mostly about being obese and just started their journey and would've given up without the support of their friend. But based what I've seen, some trainers have no genuine friendliness or consideration for both clients or gymgoers other than the consideration of profiteering them for money and social status.
While the centre looks okay the personal training at pure gym at Haverhill is not recommend by me for these reasons.
This is a lovely, all inclusive and friendly gym that encourages everyone to do their best, learn something new and grow in confidence at your own pace.
It's so nice to have a safe, clean and comfortable place to be able to decompress and reach goals. The managers and the staff here are very nice, genuine and helpful people who are all clearly passionate about your goals. Staff are always approachable and friendly if you need help on how to use something or are trying something new.
It's a shame to see some reviews with negative connotations attached to certain staff as that definitely isn't a true reflection of experiences here, nor their characters. This appears more of a personal problem that needs to be addressed externally.
I use the showers often due to being a night nurse and working out pre shift, they are always clean and respected which is a nice bonus, and you don't often have to wait to use one.
The classes are buzzing everyday and very popular. The App makes it easy to book on too.
I have used a PT since joining Pure Gym, Chantelle has been such a positive influence on my fitness journey. We work together to push through limitations on all aspects of fitness and I look forward to coming to the gym for our sessions as I always leave feeling so much better. The other staff are also great at motivating you and making sure you're alright.
Overall there is nothing negative to say about this gym, been here nearly a year and never had any problems. It's an environment where you can reach your goals steadily and consistently.
It takes time to find your feet if you've never been to a gym before (as I hadn't before November) but everyday gets easier.
Posse of low lives covering each others backs with a sudden barrage of solicited/fake reviews by pretending to be members of the general public. Scroll down and you'll see the blatant misconduct and questionable accusations they are desperately trying to cover up. I haven't even been to this gym yet but I am reviewing based on my online experience so far.
Came in the other day, spoke to the PTs and was really surprised how informative they were.
The place is clean and tidy, the equipment looked in good condition.
Only came in looking for information and I’m now a member and have booked with on of the PTs for next week!
Excited to start my journey, so thanks everyone for the reassurance
The gym has a lovely atmosphere with really helpful friendly staff, the equipment is cleaned regularly and thoroughly.
The personal trainers are totally dedicated to their jobs and I’ve always felt I’ve been given their full attention
Well done to all of the staff for making this such a welcoming place
This is one of the best gyms I’ve been to, super friendly staff always willing to help. Going to a new gym and be a really daunting experience and I will admit I wasn’t sure.
All my fears were alleviated when greeted by the manager who was warm and welcoming. The PTs are knowledgeable with a vast array of experience, so what ever your needs Im pretty sure they can help.
Obviously I will be back!
Unfortunately, a very insecure and hurt little lad keeps making fake accounts and harassing the PureGym staff due to being rightfully banned from the gym.
Make sure when looking at reviews, you take into account the only bad reviews use the same awful grammar and questionable plastic Londoner words.
Great gym, great staff, great members who are not banned for the correct reasons.

The blond PT the large one keep leaving equipment all around when we are meant to put them a way while she don't all she does is films clients while im in back ground without asking me or anyone else. she keeps plastering her half naked pics around showing her her birthing scars is safe space yet doesn’t feel like it yet man cant do that the manager clearly allows woman to be under dressed while man have to wear thee right gear. The manager clearly favours woman and allows them to do what they want but is ride to us pure gym should be represented by a fit polite coach not some insecure predator
Chloe is an amazing personal trainer! Highly recommend her! She listens to your requests (e.g. areas that you want to work on), super flexible and happy to reschedule the session. Her training sessions are catered for your goals and during these sessions you get to learn new ways of targeting several muscles and increase your confidence around the gym and the equipment.

It’s cooler outside than it is in the gym (22 degrees). Please turn heating off, this is a gym not a sauna.

I had been training with pure gym for while a little over two and half years now, and everyone is super helpful and friendly. I wanted to give one PT in particular a shout out (Chantelle) with out her guidance and motivational skills I’d never of stepped foot in a gym. Chantelle is certainly one of a kind and will get you them results. People of the gym don’t give this girl enough credit she trains you and trains too hard but she will always put away the equipment she gets you using so you don’t have to by far the cleanest PT pure gym has. If you can’t have fun with your PT and be goofy at times then I’m sorry but you’re doing it all wrong. I’d rather see my PT I’m paying for getting the clients laughing and smiling than miserable and bored. People are far too quick to judge before getting to know someone. Chantelle gives you that and so much more.

Please tell the blonde PT to pack away the equipment she uses for her 3 reps to take a video on, this happens all the time, resistance bands across the racks, boxes, preacher curl, the racks, the weighted barbells…

I found the music from the class that was on and I wasn't attending slightly overpowering

Reply from PureGym UK - Haverhill
The class ’sweat’ certainly lived up to its title . Fun and was intense. Reminded me of when i did aerobics in my 20’s although it feels harder now :-)

You get all stars. When you play good music 🎶 but the music is too low, that’s a shame and I can’t tell the manager about the straps on the crunch machine because I go in the early hours of the day. Nevertheless, these are small problems so I give you 5 stars.

I have been having PT sessions with Chloe since Jan 23 and she is fab. She took the time to get to know what I want to achieve from my training and works around my injuries. She knows when to push me and my strength is improving week on week which I love seeing. Would highly recommend.
