Really good but could be better
Having recently joined this gym after being to a number of other gyms in the past year, the first thing I noticed is that the weights (other than the dumbells in the free weights area) are very rarely put back in the right place, meaning that a good chunk of your first set is spent looking for the actual plate or kettlebells. This may just be poor etiquette by gym users and may be because I am there early and no staff are there, but I have been mid-day and early morning and each time I had the same issue. Perhaps a member of staff could be dedicated to going round regularly? Signs could be put up to show proper etiquette? Maybe label specifically where the plates and dumbells should go?
My only other gripe is that there is a lot of wasted space in one section of the gym, which is the open area to the right of the stairs on the ground floor. I am aware that classes take place here, but I feel that this can be sectioned off more efficiently i.e. the area behind the pillars in this room could be used to put a strip of AstroTurf for a sled to be used, and perhaps this could also accommodate more kettlebells to make it a functional training area? I just feel that the amount this area is used for classes and the area used up vs what could be put there whilst also accommodating the classes is disproportionate. I’m not sure how this would be implemented and even if my suggestion could be heard, but it just doesn’t really make sense to waste so much space.
Other than the above, the staff are great, the equipment is great and I would recommend the average gym user to come here.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.

Very good gym
Very good gym, good equipment and loose weights, friendly staff. Only complaint is the ground floor temperature. The other day it was freezing outside and they had the aircon on 'cooling' - why ?? it was far too cold and people were wearing fleeces whilst training

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it. We would advise raising your concerns with them

Friendly and approachable staff
Friendly and approachable staff. Clean equipment and facilities. Staff and other members are respectful towards each other. No one bothers or hovers over me while I'm working out. Lots of variety in classes to take and with their app you can try at home as well.

It needs more equipment
It needs more equipment, especially free weight plates. Had a lot more when it opened. Get the impression that it's a money thing. Poor for a gym and I've been to a lot of them

Nice equipment but not enough of it
Prime time hours early in a morning or after 16.00 when I go your struggling to use the equipment you want to use as its too busy usually waiting 10 minutes to use a machine you want to get on which delays your whole workout
Leg machines especially there is 1 of each for such a big gym this is not enough I have to change my workout every week to accommodate what is free and I'm always waiting to use the next machine had to to wait 20 minutes to use the leg extension as there was a que of 3 groups of people before me
If it wasn't for the location and cheap price I would have already left to join elsewhere and still considering it really due to the waiting about

I'm find in the evening weekends Hull…
I'm find in the evening weekends Hull Gum is overrun with school aged children 15/16. Large groups hogging the toning weights upstairs and not doing a lot of working out. It's frustrating when you cannot get your routine completed.
