Nice to see the Pure Gym Staff on the Floor aswell which made me feel that I could do my workout in peace. Overall excellent so far and looking forward to burning the Kcal and fat off my body and getting my body back to slim ultimately!

One negative experience after another. A faceless corporation.
This is not a review of any particular destination - rather the company as a whole, from years of membership. No option to deselect gym location.
A company that make their members feel like a standing order.
Cheap- that’s possibly the only plus.
Every interaction with the almost, non-approachable company, is a negative experience.
You pause your membership (to work overseas) they start taking your money again anyway - apparently pause is not pause, you have to continually re-pause.
They charge extra payments due to a bank error and you never receive any repatriation of funds.
You can’t speak with anyone from the company - endless, repetitive emails with no resolution of issues.
A thoroughly joyless corporation to do business with.

Members are able to freeze their membership for up to 3 months; freezes must be done 4 working days before the next payment is due. As stated in our terms and conditions, accepted upon membership commencement, we are able to charge up to £20 in admin fees, for a failed payment. We are notified by the bank when a payment has failed; we then notify the member via email. In the email, we state that for a very limited time, we do give the option to make a payment using a debit or credit card for:
• Instalment Amount
• Administration Fee £ 5.00
This can be done via the members area of our website https://www.puregym.com/members/ with your email address and PIN number. By using this facility, members will not incur the Resubmission fee of £15.00. Additionally, we do have a dedicated Member Services Team on hand to respond to members if they need any help. Dupe customers into signing up with fake offers
Made a promise to honour the offer of 0 joining fee and 30% off for 3 months. So I signed up and asked them to apply the offer then they refused and expect me to pay full price or cancel to only get the remainder of the month refunded! Even though I provided the evidence THEY sent me, they refused to do it and duped me into signing up at full price! E-Mailed their CEO so let’s see what happens next. I have screenshots to prove but can’t upload them on here

This gym is truly exceptional in every way. The management team is amazing, always professional, friendly, and genuinely invested in creating the best possible experience for members. The personal trainers are second to none: incredibly helpful, attentive to every detail, and always ready to offer expert advice, guidance, and motivation.
What really stands out is how approachable and supportive everyone is. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gym-goer, you feel welcomed, encouraged, and looked after. The atmosphere is both motivating and comfortable, making it easy to push yourself while knowing you’re in safe, knowledgeable hands.
If you’re looking for a gym where the staff truly care about your progress and well-being, this is the place to be. I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

So easy to get started
So easy to get started. I needed a last minute gym nearby as my usual gym was closed at short notice. Within 30 seconds I’d joined, got in, and started my workout! Life saver Pure Gym. Thank you. :)

PureGym Merrion Centre
PureGym Merrion Centre – Access Issues
This is the second time I have been unable to enter the gym due to a system issue. I had to wait outside for 30 minutes, unable to access the gym with either my entry code or the app.
It’s incredibly frustrating and certainly not motivating for anyone wanting to exercise. Despite my repeated attempts and ringing, no one came to assist. I could clearly see a trainer inside chatting with a group but he never came to the entrance to help.
After 30 minutes of trying, I gave up and left. Hopefully the issue is resolved by tomorrow. Unfortunately, I just renewed my subscription four days ago - otherwise, I would have cancelled on the spot.
This is on top of the gym already being extremely crowded during peak hours.

Our new favourite routine together 👍
I really like PureGym - the app is easy to use, and the premium membership price (with the 3-month discount) was a great deal. The gym itself has an open layout and a motivating atmosphere, which makes it enjoyable to train. It’s become a regular thing for me and my wife - we keep going back because we genuinely enjoy it. Great value and a positive environment overall!

Worst gym ever
Probably has to be one of the worst gyms I’ve been to. There’s not a lot of equipment, very packed in together, no atmosphere and equipment is very cheap and not built for purpose.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.
We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.

No water stations
No water stations. As a traveler it might be my ignorance where gyms don't provide water but I had to call my workout earlier to leave for water.

We always advise that new members have an induction to ensure they are familiar with the layout of the gym and understand where everything is. Inductions are usually placed on the class time table.
You can also get in touch with the Gym Manager via email, and an induction can be arranged for a specific date and time. Alternatively, members are able to speak to the staff in the gym (if they are not on the gym floor, please feel free to knock on the staff room door) and have an induction. Thanks, PureGym.
