Pure Gym review
Gym is spacious,bright,24/7,good location,cheap member fee,different equipment.The negative side is shortage of some basic equipment and temperatures are set wrong.Fans or air condition on in winter.

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. However, we have the cylinder POD doors that act as both an entrance and security system. The POD doors monitor entrance with individual 8 digit code. As well as this, we have staff monitoring the gym, as well as a CCTV team. If there are individual instances you are aware where security has been breached, then please let a member of staff know. The gym stinks of body odour
The gym stinks of body odour. And not like people working out body out, more like poor personal hygiene body odour. And it’s throughout the whole gym. Awful experience.

Today was a great day for me at PureGym i was do different exercises my personal trainer was help me, i will reccomend who whant started to do gym again going register at Puregym in Leicester at walnut street,good staff.

Sneaky extra costs
The signup process is simple but they try to add an additional £10 in there as a ‘join fee’ which in itself is stupid, and if you try and use one of the promo codes they heavily promote everywhere to remove the fee, none of them will work. On top of this there is absolutely no point in buying the “core” membership since going at peak times is something only an immortal would do since you’ll be waiting to use a bench until you’re 60.

I VISITED THE PUREGYM ON MONDAY
I visited the gym on Monday evening but encountered an issue with the non-functioning revolving door. During peak hours, the gym becomes quite crowded. While attempting to enter using the PureGym app, I noticed an individual inside the gym who began to use inappropriate language towards me from across the entrance. Although I could observe his gestures, I had the presence of mind to refrain from engaging with him, as I sensed that doing so could lead to an unpleasant confrontation.
Subsequently, I reported the incident to a staff member. This marks my second experience as a Plus member within two weeks. I am increasingly frustrated that I felt compelled to utilise Trustpilot to articulate my concerns regarding this gym. It appears that the management does not adequately address my grievances despite their assurances of being aware of the issues and promising to take corrective action.

Toilets and washing facilities in gym…
Toilets and washing facilities in gym changing rooms are constantly out of use along with no hand soap and toilet paper constantly running out. There is no running water except for in the disabled toilet. I can almost guarantee that people going to the toilet in the lockers rooms are not washing their hands in the disabled toilet, instead going into the gym and using the equipment which will spreading all kinds of germs to other gym users. It’s bad enough that the gym no longer provides sanitising stations on the gym. Running water in the toilet facilities should be paramount for gym users to wash their hands. Also running out of toilet paper is also a constant occurrence in the walnut street gym. I have been attending this gym for almost ten years and the hygiene standards are at an all time low and I find this unacceptable in multiple million pound organisation such as pure gym.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers and management team to ensure that our equipment/facilities are fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken or out of use.
If without running water the club will close off the relevant changing rooms and alternate access will be applied in this case; notification will be sent out to all members on email.
Any concerns regarding this please approach a member of staff as soon as possible.

Worst gym
I was assaulted by a PureGym trainer and reported the incident to both the branch and regional management. However, after filing my complaint, I received an email from HR stating that the matter had been closed and concluded. I was deeply dissatisfied with this response, as I was treated unfairly and left uninformed about any progress or updates. I believe it’s unacceptable for the gym to support employees who engage in such behavior. Despite the assault being captured on CCTV, they refused to take any action. I cannot recommend this gym, as it is not a safe environment. The staff members are the real bullies.

Locker use, showers and other amenities 👎
Locker use us a serious issue, not enough is done to stop people from claiming a locker and keeping it padlocked 24/7, meaning that others can't get a locker when they need it. The showers are often not cleaned properly either, I use them reluctantly. Also recently, broken amenities aren't repaired. It's a shame. The equipment avilable in the gym is good though and the staff are helpful and friendly.

Dirty, cold, terrible staff

The lockers had all been damaged/broken into so I had to carry my bag into the gym, the place felt very cheap and low-end if it was a pub I think the phrase would be spit and sawdust.
