Terrible gym absolutely awful having to wait 20 to 25 mins for a single machine also terrible machine choices was there for a year and really regretted not going to a proper gym also gym staff very rude and poorly trained in helping people get their goals, also the gym is very dirty especially the showers and bathroom wouldn’t recommend going here ever

Great gym and amazing team of staff
I had never been a gym goer until I joined the gym at Laganbank. I really enjoy the classes and the instructors are experienced and friendly. Such a great team of staff. They take time out to help everyone on their fitness and health regime. Finally found the gym for me! Thanks

Money lost
Gym was too busy at time I wanted to go, didn't like the open plan aspect of it. Would be good to offer a look around at a cheap price before someone has to commit and lose £31 but there you go lesson learned

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day.
Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.
If looking to test out the gym prior to joining on a monthly membership we offer Day passes (for 1,3,7,30 days)
Alternatively within the first 14 days you can cancel direct with Member Services and receive a refund for the remaining time left; including any joining fee if included. Thanks, PureGym
Very easy setup
Very easy setup, straightforward and informative. They send a PIN you can use to access the gym and the mobile app. The latter is optional but highly recommended. It's available for both iOS and Android.
My wife invited me as her buddy, which was also a very simple process. The whole experience so far has been painless and right to the point.

Too many machines with fixed limits on…
Too many machines with fixed limits on the weight preventing progression - for example, the chest press machine upstairs doesn't use free weights and is basically limited and somewhat pointless for progression.
They have an incline chest machine with free weight but no flat machine chest press using free weights

We always advise that new members have an induction to ensure they are familiar with the layout of the gym and understand how to use the different pieces of equipment. Inductions are usually placed on the class time table. You can also get in touch with the Gym Manager via email, and an induction can be arranged for a specific date and time.
Alternatively, members are able to speak to the staff in the gym (if they are not on the gym floor, please feel free to knock on the staff room door) and have an induction. Thanks, PureGym.

Rarely have a hot shower
Everything about the gym is good apart from the mens showers.
From day one there have been issues with the showers. Rarely hot and often half of them not working

Puregym in Lisburn is fantastic
Puregym in Lisburn is fantastic. I was a novice when I joined and it took a lot to get started.
To my surprise it was definitely nothing like I had envisioned in my head.
Everyone was friendly, helpful and it's a great atmosphere.
Don't hold off in joining!
You'll get a new lease of life and meet some great people

I wanted to join to use Lisburn and…
I wanted to join to use Lisburn and Bangor gyms in Northern Ireland. It said I had access to 113 gyms with the plus membership so I didn't 'add' any. It appears from the app I only have access to the Lisburn gym only!? I feel I have been mislead by the website. I will have to cancel if I can't access both

Bad maintenance/hygene. No response to tweet.
No response on my tweet complaining that there was no soap in the gents toilets for over a week. Also there is no paper to wipe down equipment anymore, so there is a significant hygene issue ongoing in the lisburn branch. It’s an absolute embarrassment and ironic that you have signs up asking people to wipe down equipment after use. Today I found 3 bikes with broken foot straps.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.
We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.
We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure all points raised are addressed in club. We fully understand the importance of cleanliness and will be dealt with. Thanks, PureGym

Lack of equipment
The gym is not suitable for the amount of people using this gym. It gets far too crowded and there is a lack of equipment, especially down in the weights section. There is only one rack suitable for doing deadlifts and if you’re lucky that it’s available, there are a shortage of plates to use. The facilities are also unclean. I feel the gym has lots of empty space on the upper floor that could be better used for more equipment.
