Very simple form and great offer for 3 day pass. I think they need to give more options for gender other than just ‘male’ or ‘female’ on the form, as they claim to be a gender-inclusive gym.

Historically, the requirement for new members to select a gender when joining, was based upon our changing facilities being accessed by PIN only and we would always encourage members to use the facilities they feel are appropriate.
We have since removed the need for PIN access to the changing facilities and are aware the gender selections are something which must be amended as part of the joining process.
However, there are limitations we are currently facing due to the third party membership system we use, which means there is a significant amount of development work required to make this amendment.
Please be assured we understand the importance of this change and are working closely with the development team to update this.
If you'd like any further help regarding the sign-up process, including amendments of any salutations/preferred names/pronouns - Then drop our Member Services Team an email on (member.services@puregym.com) and they'll be more than happy to help.

It was good
It was good, but I really joined to use hip thrust machine but there wasn’t one, I was a little disappointed but it is a nice gym overall.

Looks more like a leisure centre than a gym. Kit is old & worn out. The whole venue is in a generally poor state. They put prices up yet don’t put a penny into the kit. Avoid.

Enjoyed my first time there
Enjoyed my first time there, went later on in the evening so was quiet. Was able to use all the equipment we wanted to use. Was really cold when we walked in but obviously warmed up after exercise but still felt the coldness. Cleanliness is excellent. Changing room we used was small but was quiet so not too bad for us. also take a padlock for your locker we had to go back out and put our bags in the car. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great gym / fitness classes
I visit the gym purely for the classes and here you are spoilt for choice. I am able to work them around my busy schedule and the PT’s are always welcoming, informative and enthusiastic about you getting the most out of your session. Kellie recently introduced an evening kettlebells class which I love and will look forward to attending every week. It’s tough but fun and she always gives you that push to carry on when you need it most!

Decent gym for the price but it…
Decent gym for the price but it definitely requires better maintenance of things like cable accessories, as someone else noted the clips are mostly broken or odd and can you PLEASE provide more handles? Sometimes there’ll be a single handle in the whole gym area for all cable machines?! Grown men argue over them if they’re lucky to find a pair. These are standard things even for budget gyms. Also, the sanitiser stands need new bottles, when they’re all broken it just encourages lazy people not to bother wiping down.

Could be improved
Many of the evening classes are now only 30 minutes, instead of 45. They are not all at a time compatible with my family commitments.
My usual 7pm yoga class today was not on and there was no suitable alternative.
