Not enough weight equipment for the gym to be charging £28. Almost every machine is taken and it’s during non peak, so imagine when when it’s peak

We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio.
We’re afraid it's true, our gyms can become busy, especially at peak times. The busyness of the gym does fluctuate throughout the day, or depending on the day of the week and you can check how busy the gym is before attending on your PureGym app.
If you have any other/specific suggestions, please approach the Gym Manager who always appreciates and takes on board member feedback.

Easy and fast
It was easy and fast to join the gym. Even the location is almost hidden it was easy to localize it.

App isn’t allowing me to book classes…
App isn’t allowing me to book classes after i changed my hole gym location
*reply to comment: I have logged in and out of the app multiple times. Still shows my old gym location. It is quite impossible to get any help with PureGym as they don’t have great customer service. No contact phone number and when you try to use their Facebook chat for help it’s some ai bot. Also most of the classes fill up anyway unless you pay extra to get an early access to booking classes. I have cancelled my gym membership.

If your app isn't up to date, you may need to try logging out and back in. This should clear any old cached data and keep your app up-to-date.
Also, when you look at classes, make sure you have selected the right gym. In the app, you can tap filter and select the gym you'd like to view class bookings for. Thanks, PureGym.
Charged for day pass but gym not open
I paid for a day pass for nye in Islington. When I got to the gym early evening, it was closed. No information was provided about this, as if there had been I would not have spent the hefty amount for a day pass that I couldn’t use. No information on the app, but it happily took my money despite me not being able to use the gym. Very poor customer service. I feel robbed.

They’re not maintaining kit
They’re not maintaining kit. It’s really daft at this point, because not only is it getting dangerous it’s also damaging their barbells.
I’d attach pictures if I could; all of the J Hook are broken, the rubber is completely worn down meaning the barbells are being racked on the metal arms damaging the knurling, and the bolts that hold the hooks together have fallen out.
Come on PureGym, you’re a national chain and if the welds break (because without the bolt they’re not subject to sheer forces) you won’t be insured. You’re also destroying your barbells because you can’t be bothered to spend a few hundred quid servicing your equipment.
To address the reply. I’ve mentioned it a few times and the response is, “PureGym HQ has a budget”.

Extremely disappointed with my…
Extremely disappointed with my experience at Pure Gym. I purchased a day pass to use the facilities, but upon arrival, there was no staff member present to let guest in. I waited outside for over 10 minutes, growing increasingly frustrated as I was short on time and needed to get to work. Eventually, I had to give up and leave without even stepping foot inside. This lack of customer service and organisation is completely unacceptable. Will not be returning
