Emma is my PT and has been nothing but supportive of my journey, always pushing me to my fullest and massively supporting my goals. Wouldn’t have made the progress I have without her!
The best thing about going to PureGym Bromley is the women’s only area to keep me in my comfort zone and still push myself to my fullest xx
Having my PT sessions with Sevdana, best trainer! Gym is clean and with lots of equipment too.
-Trying to workout and earphones running out of battery results in overhearing loud discussions on the pursuit of cash, fame and sexual gain. This almost always involves sexual exploits in an objectifying manner which brings irony to the external gym marketing. You may overhear the inner-circle doing this to a lesser extent. The staff have created an inner-circle community who are love-bombed with friendliness and treats who they solicit for positive reviews whilst negative feedback are concealed or siphoned into a questionable internal avenues.
-There is also theft, with personal belongings being taken by members and reports from members nationwide stating PTs have taken large sums of money and Puregym using small-print to evade accountability.
-Facing in the direction of or being near the social media circle results in being included in their bodybuilding video background/internalized culture e.g. squeezing their partners buttocks in front of you in an objectifying manner. This gym appears to have a customer and staff demographic with a focus on body appearance of themselves and others influenced by social media apps and sexualized content.
-A past PT with a "booty" marketing focus towards impressionable young women forcing someone to perform an exercise in a way that even Puregym's own guide dictates can cause injury. When the member raised concerns to the trainer and later raised concerns about all the staff, this was not remedied with an apology or simple adjustment but retaliation.
-A past PT pre-emptively making an underhanded threat to murdor a member if they reported the PT. After being questioned this PT resorted to indirect retaliation. It was revealed this PT appeared to only 'teach' female clients. Notably, this PT abruptly ceased their death stares and rumour spreading after at least one third-party report was published about a staff member, matching their description, continuously entering the female changing rooms without notice at another gym they moved to.
-A past PT making numerous indirect threats of violence on social media and in person if they were to be reported along with ad hominem towards members. This PT also appeared to only teach female clients with a young woman approx. half their age calling this PT their "friend" after the PT had verbally gratified the appearance of the customer's bum.
-A past PT also belonging to the same circle posting misleading ad hominem about a member regarding the internal concerns and criticism.
-A PT only training women in a tanktop seen outside gym with one then suddenly concealing this after the circle had closed ranks with a sudden shift to seemingly professional appearance.
-A married member of the management team and a PT spending almost all working hours engaging in personal activities amongst themselves in and outside the gym whilst ongoing gym issues arise. This PT also has a "booty" marketing focus with adverts suggesting their followers' self-worth is dictated by the size of their bum with help from another PT. After this was criticized along with other staff of both genders around the same time the previously mentioned encounters was witnessed in public, a sudden retaliation shift abruptly occurred with the manager getting involved in the retaliation.
-A PT involved with their inner-circle in the gym includes a friend/member in a position of public trust with a similar recruitment demographic as Puregym PTs. The complainant had submitted a complaint about this PT's friend who then collaborated with the circle using the usual retaliation tactics suddenly after being questioned. As somewhat expected, this person has a social media account with a concealed name appearing to show a grandiose physique whilst following only Caucasian young women and late teens of similar appearance and/or sexualized images.
-Of the many reports of sexualized abuse amongst many reports i've seen of abuse at Puregym, all of them have unfortunately been describing behaviour from staff. The described handling of such issues and retaliation represents a safeguarding issue that Puregym appears to conceal but yet to solve despite the Safe Space branding, which seems to shift the blame onto the public.
Retaliation tactics:
1) Using gym attendance as ammunition: Since they don't have anything tactile to use against a complainant, walking around a gym, facing in the direction of or glancing at a PT can result in dramatized claims that naturally can only result in 'following' or 'staring' claims. Manager's tend to ignore the conduct of their in-group due to high tribal bias.
2) Rumour spreading: Creating stories from thin-air e.g. a complainant being a PT and also jealous of monetary success of competition etc.
3) Indirect threats.
Beware
I was charge twice since i cancel my subscription.
After contacting them for the payment they said the payment is still active and they keep taking payments even when you cancel.
They said you need to call your bank and stop the direct debits.
They do mot inform you when you are canceling the subscription.
The same thing happened to my partner three months ago.
Absolutly unacseptable.
The are already reported the the Financial Ombudsman Services.
And to the small claim court .
Will never visit again and will leave negative feedback everywhere to protect other people from the scam.

Spin classes with Levi are absolutely awesome. With lively high energy music, moves and vibes, you leave the class having sweated the pounds away. It's a fun and excited class with a great teacher. I enjoy the class as I can go at my own pace and join in again to catch up when you've caught your breath.

Love the refurbished gym. Especially the women only work out zone. First time back in a few months due to illness and it was great to be able to workout without the male gaze.

I'm a technoklutz, 81 years old with a latent Alzheimer gene waiting to increasingly manifest itself as time goes by. Added to which I've always been poor at the sequential thinking so necessary for the internet/computer-dominated world. So I was very impressed with the hands-on patience and expertise of the staff with regard to my muddle headiness.

I was at the gym when a member named Alyssia Wells and Theo Godfrey approached me and harassed me (i was verbally abused and shoved around by these members) , i will be taking this matter to the law if these members are not held accountable for their actions.

Rachael John Isaac have been great, making me feel comfortable despite my inexperience.
Bromley has the staff to support the young fit gym goers as well as people like myself who have a long way to go.
The cost of off peak membership is £20 pm well worth it as the equipment is well maintained and access is easy during the day. The classes are included in the fee.

Good equipment but found toilet facilities were not inspected regularly.
Urinal was clogged and no handsoap in despencer.
Only went for day pass so couldn't comment if was a regular occurrence or just one off.
