I go to this gym for spin classes regularly. However, the schedule for cycle classes needs to be improved. Thursday and Friday evenings have high demand, yet no cycle classes at these timings.
Please can you look into adding 45min classes on the weekends (instead of 30 min as it is now) and adding Thursday and Friday evening classes too? It would help those who wind down from work at the end of the week immensely.

Has all equipments needed, facilities are nice, clean and well spaced. Only thing that makes the experience not pleasant is the gym is extremely cold and it’s affecting performance.

Here's the deal, I have the Plus Multi-Access membership with PureGym, home gym being the Meadows in Chelmsford. 26th Oct afternoon my friend and I decide to have a workout together at East India Dock PureGym where he has a membership. We turn up and I learn that the East India Dock is not one of the 323 gyms included in the multi-access. Fine, my friend has buddy passes for me to use.
I click on the received buddy pass and it asks to input some details - name, surname, email, phone no., etc - all normal. Once I do that and click submit, an error message pops up saying that I'm already a member of PureGym. Fine, but where's my Buddy Pass gone and how do I get into the gym?
We then try another buddy pass, this time I try using another email, phone no., everything, which is not used with PureGym already. I get another error message stating that the Buddy Pass has already been redeemed. Hello? At this point, we're already loitering for almost 10 minutes in front of the entrance, looking like neanderthals unfamiliar with modern machinery.
Then, I try acquiring a Day Pass for East India Dock PureGym and once again - some details are requested. Name, surname, email, etc., - fine. I click submit - error, reminding me that I'm a member of PureGym already. That's fine, but the goal is to get in by giving some money in return - how do I that? The app does not provide a Day Pass functionality. Just take my money I'm wasting precious time here.
Finally, I do everything once again for the Day Pass, just using different info, which will not identify that I'm a member already. About 20 minutes and £13.99 later I'm finally in for one of the better workouts I've had in a while.
You're fulfilling a very important purpose of affordable memberships and I'm sure the community appreciates that, but Jesus Christ the above you have to fix. A Day's Pass should never take 20 minutes of clicking, cost £13.99 and take away a fair chunk of pride and dignity trying to get in.

As much as it seems the management is trying but:
It is exhausting to every day wait and wait while watching members sitting on the equipment for 30 minutes scrolling through social media on phones and then doing a set for 30 seconds, and continuing this behaviour.
It is tiring to make our way through so many shoulder bags, shoes, jackets, backpacks, etc. all over the gym floor when there are FREE lockers available!
It hurts the ears every day with the plates and weights constantly being smashed and dropped and there is no one to care!
It is frustrating to watch that the gym attire now accepts Crocs and flip-flops as a norm!
It is very unpleasant to watch all those half-pulled-up sweatpants.
and above all, the irony to see on the walls of Pure Gym their poster says "We are pretty flexible, but the rules don't bend" and almost all of those above are against their rules!

I have been a EID PureGym member since it opened, which has maintained an excellent level of customer service, amazing classes and friendly approachable staff including PTs.
The management team remain open to fair criticisms and have responded to any issues raised in a positive manner (cleanliness, equipment, class timetables etc).
Special mention to Sasha Lawrence (AGM) doing a great job running the club and John Ragasa (PT) who by far exceeds expectations when running classes with his enthusiasm and energy during classes such as circuits to spin. Also his been an amazing PT helping with my training goals and providing nutrition advice.
Keep up the good work!!

To be fair I’ll compare east India to its neighboring puregym canary wharf which is only £1 more pm in price.
East India puregym the equipment is a lot more old haven’t been updated since first opening and has a lot less variety of equipment.
The air quality & smell is dreadful, cold air gets blown in, but not fresh clean air & and bad bodily odor seem to forever linger everywhere in the gym.
There is no mobile network reception and the WiFi offered is very unreliable and doesn’t connect for long or sometimes at all.
For the monthly cost it’s not the same standard as other PureGym at that price range

Great range of equipment and classes on at convenient times. Sometimes the pump class is a bit too stop/start as it isn't Les Mills Body pump.

I love the classes and trainers and how interactive they are.
However, the box fit gloves and pads need to be washed thoroughly.

I often have to leave early as the guy (jonathon) who works there on the weekends won't compromise and lower the volume of his music at classes. Its dangerously loud. He says it's his personal preference to play it as loud as he can and that I should visit the gym around his schedule. It's happened multiple times. For someone who completed a 14 week course, he is pretty arrogant.
Edit: After reading your suggestion to inform management, I was assured by the staff member (jonathan) that doing so would change nothing. He did so with a grin of pure satisfaction.
