The money was taken from my account and…
The money was taken from my account and when I had my first visit my log number did not work. I had to alert a trainer on duty to let me in after an interrogation and having to prove payment by showing my bank account transaction.
I have lost motivation a bit after working myself up again to start training.

Different prices when signing up online
Because you charged me £48.99 for a month with a £20 joining fee, to go to any London gym but I actually wanted to pay for my home gym, Finsbury Park which only costs £34.99 a month with a £15 joining fee

Messiest PureGym Going
It's reasonably priced and has everything I need to do my workouts. However, the weights area in particular is consistently an absolute mess! Weights and bars everywhere making the place not only unsightly and and unpleasant space to be in, but fundamentally dangerous (trip hazards). I appreciate this is mainly down to the laziness of my fellow gym users, however I see little effort of staff attempting to keep it tidy and set the 'culture'. In fact, I actively see staff not only ignore the mess but contribute to it by leaving equipment/ weights anywhere when they're done with it and doing a PT session. I've been to other locations and this is by far the messiest!

We ask that members return their weights after use, to ensure that the gym remains and safe and tidy environment for our members. However we know that at busier times, weights are not always returned and our team complete regular re-sets of the gym.
We understand that this is sometimes frustrating for our members, and it is included within our Gym Rules that members should return weights after use. Anybody witnessed leaving equipment out of place will be spoken to by our Gym Team.
If you have any specific concerns relating to this matter, please speak with a member of the gym team or the Gym Manager directly, where they will be happy to assist with this further.

It’s CHEAP for a reason
This place screams unprofessionalism and rooms are filthy and floors covers in toe nails and hairs. Wouldn’t bother reporting to member services they are too busy gossiping and or hiding in the cupboards to take you seriously. Some PTs are mentally unstable and shouldn’t be doing classes let alone dealing with paying clients. If you have a problem with this place email safespace they will investigate properly. There are better gyms in the area now, this place has lost its touch over the years no equipment, smell bad and no air con.

Pure gym is ace
Pure gym is ace, exercise classes are accessible during the day. Ease to book class online through the app and can cancel within 4 hrs.This allows others to take your place. Access is easy with brought fob.Ladies only area to workout.

This is in reply to my previous feedback as I can't reply to PureGym's feedback.
Firstly, thank you for your reply as many establishments do not take the time to reply to any feedback unless it's a "Thanks" for a 5* feedback so I really appreciate the fact that you have taken the time to reply. It would be great if this could be looked into as it's been the situation for a year (since I've been a member). This, IMO, is the only thing that I feel is bad about the gym, everything else is pretty good. It just seems a shame to ruin a good gym session with a cold shower at the end. Thanks again PureGym and really hope this can be sorted.

I paid for the plus membership
I paid for the plus membership. Because I ticked that I would need disabled access, they blocked me from accessing the gym until I have an appointment and induction with a staff member. They said the disabled code will not work on the standard doors. This information was provided to me after I had completed payment, not before. They also immediately took payment and started my membership immediately even though they won't let me access the gym for a few days. This is misleading. And disability discrimination. I expected immediate access to the gym via a QR code, just like a non-disabled person would receive.
A disabled person is perfectly capable of deciding whether or not they are capable of accessing the gym or not. We know our capabilities more than anyone else. We don't need third party approval. Taking away our choice is discrimination.
PURE GYM have responded to say they need to show me how to use the doors safely. That's just adding insult to injury. I'm perfectly capable of entering a code and going through a door

When enabling disabled access on a member's account, an induction is required with your local gym staff. This is in order to learn about how to use the doors safely and the rules around it. Safety is important and people's needs vary, this induction is also an opportunity to find if there are other ways we can make the gym even more accessible to you. Thanks, PureGym.

After moving to London from Aberdeen, I was excited to continue my regular gym routine at Finsbury Park Pure Gym. Unfortunately, this location has been a huge disappointment. The gym is severely mismanaged, and it shows. The staff are usually clustered around the info desk, chatting and having a laugh, while the gym itself is in dire need of attention. Weights and dumbbells are scattered everywhere, which turns each session into a frustrating hunt for matching equipment rather than focusing on the workout itself.
The cleanliness is another major issue. The toilets and sinks often smell like rotten eggs, and it's clear they haven't seen proper cleaning with bleach in a while. For the much higher prices compared to Aberdeen, I expected a better experience, but the quality here is seriously lacking. It's a shame because the gym has potential, but the current state makes it hard to recommend.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this.
However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.

When signing up for the first time you will need to complete a Health Declaration form.
Within this form if you do require access to the Easy Access doors instead of the Pods an induction will need to be completed.
This can be booked in with the Gym Manager via email.

The gym is well equipped with state of…
The gym is well equipped with state of the Art Equipment and for a variety of different sports. The only thing I missed was disinfectant. I only found some at the entrance/exit but did my workout in the 1st floor. Disinfectant for cleaning the used devices should be available near by otherwise cleaning gets skipped, which is a no go.
