Some of the Staff at the Leytonstone branch have attitudes that smell worse than the toilets. The Stratford branch is a refreshing change, offering a much better example of how to provide Customer Service, would recommend people go to. Stratford rather than Leytonstone

No other good options. Normally broken machines out of service for several weeks. toilets usually stink and showers are filthy. Only one bench. expensive prices. Some equipment like flat bar attachments are broken and not lubricated so feels very bad to use. The cleaner vacuums during peak hours making it very inconvenient when he's vacuuming close around peoples feet its almost hilarious as everyone has to shuffle around (consistently). Also for example there was notices the gym will be closed during a certain time but this was not communicated on the app or online so people who physically seen the notice poster in the gym will know. Poor.

Always being greeted by polite members of staff. The constant upgrades of equipment ensures my workouts are always on point. I appreciate the regular cleaning and excellent state of the gym.

This is the fourth Puregym I've used over the years, and it's the least well equipped out of the four. The others had two of each machine, Leytonstone doesn't even have one of some of them (no bicep curl machine, no tricep extention machine) and only one chest press machine, one shoulder press machine, one leg press machine (although there is a free weights one). On the plus side, there's four double pully machines you can work your chest on, plus several pullys that seem only set up for tricep work. The free weights area is small and could do with another couple of benches. It's usable if it's not mobbed, but considering it's priced at the higher end for a puregym I think the kit should at least be the equal of the Ilford puregym, which is cheaper.

I started training at Pure Gym Leytonstone for more than 5 years. Anytime I go to work out, there is a friendly atmosphere, clean and enough space to do my stuff...Gym is no longer a hobby for me but a way of life...this is why where I work out is good to be in a good environment!

There is currently two stairmasters out of order so can never get on one. The abductor machine has been broken for weeks as has the ab crunch. This does impact my workout. They also desperately need a calf machine of some sort and a machine bicep curl. Other than that it is an awesome gym.

I decided to go with a mate and check out his PureGym before joining. The day pass was £12 and I feel like that's quite a high amount to pay. I would like to join PureGym and feel they should offer a discounted price for new members who sign up directly after a day pass. The day pass amount could be deducted from the sign up fee as an incentive for new members.

It seems like I joined the gym with a free gym buddy membership although I was charged the full amount of a monthly membership now I have to run after the gym so I get a refund for the money I was charged wait for two days and then subscribe again pay the fee which is not a problem so then I can continue my training.

Waits for equipment, lots of equipment needing repairing, small workout areas, uncomfortable vibe, wouldn’t recommend

I quite like Puregym because it really does make a decent gym experience cheap and accessible. The locations are incredibly dense and there is almost always an option wherever I am in London or the UK. My only complaint is that the model doesn't quite work for a local gym experience. In the 5ish years I've been a member I have never been offered a spot by PT or even approached by a PT. They rarely make eye contact or say hello. It's weird because I would have thought that fostering a friendly approachable atmosphere in the gyms would be the best way for them to make money. I find the PTs cliquey, unavailable and sometimes downright unfriendly. As I said though, for the price, the equipment and cleanliness is excellent, just train your PTs to be a bit nicer.
