Great equipment and machines, but poorly cleaned changing facilities and toilets
Great equipment and machines. Great location.
Atmosphere is always good.
Changing rooms are adequate. Poorly maintained though and often the toilets are smelly and messy. Standing water where the sinks are. I DO NOT use the showers. The disabled toilet smells of faeces and urine.
Staff don’t make eye contact really or engage, except for two PT’s. I made a couple of suggestions which put me on the ‘do not talk to’ list I think.
There is a real hole in the market for a £50-70 per month gym that offers reception service, a towl & sauna.

Ok ish for classes and equipment
If you use the gym for the equipments it’s ok once you avoid after work hours, otherwise is too busy. The quality of the classes is not consistent so if you join for those you can’t count on it.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.

It was my first visit to this club
It was my first visit to this club. I came on a scooter and I left it in the male locker room on Saturday evening. As I returned to the locker room to collect the scooter at 11 pm after my workout the scooter went missing.
There was nobody around to report about the event. I sent emails over the weekend but nobody returned them. The phones did not respond.
On Monday I reported a crime to the police. The police assigned a crime ref. number and I sent this number to the emails provided on the site. It was at this point only when somebody finally contacted me by phone.
The manager said the club can do nothing to help me other than wait until the police does something. I was not offered any apologies or a refund.
The place looks more like a ghost house full of criminals than a sports club. I regret I paid that visit.

Good overall
It’s clean, air conditioned and people there are nice. I don’t go when busy though. Haven’t used the showers yet but they have improved since the last time I used this pure gym.

Awesome gym
Friendly staff, well lit and the area feels secure, as a woman that trains very early in the morning safety is very important. Good mix of machines and very clean.

It's a good gym in general
It's a good gym in general , clean , pretty well equipped and a lot of space.
It can get very busy at times , to the point where the weights room can feel very cramped, if you pick a time wisely you'll have a good workout.
My biggest issue with this gym is unfortunately some of the members , they do not understand gym etiquette at all , weights not replaced , weight stacks remaining on racks etc.
I have witnessed downright dangerous actions , such as throwing down of weights after sets which end up nearly hitting other members , rolling of weights across the whole gym floor.
When some members work out in packs it can be intimidating .
I know the staff are aware of these issues but I'm sure it can be difficult for them to keep the members in order.
If you can 'zone out ' from some of them members you'll enjoy the gym.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.

Everything you need!
I've a member for a few years, but I 've also been to other gyms nearby. Pure Gym Oval is definitely the best! It's clean, tidy, with many machines, free weights and more. It's spacious and with enough natural light. The staff is also friendly and helpful. Highly recommended indeed!!!

4 of the 7 men’s showers have been out…
4 of the 7 men’s showers have been out of order for over 2 months!!! We are now getting queues 4 men deep. I was late for work because of this. What is being done.

In my experience this is a great gym
In my experience this is a great gym. The equipment is all relatively up to date and I regularly see staff doing safety checks on the equipment. The toilets/ change rooms are almost always clean. The pure gym app has a lot of useful information and workout ideas and the staff always seem friendly. :)
