I opened a Pure Gym membership as it was the only gym local and accessible to me at the moment. I am now closing the membership because unfortunately it did not meet my standards. The gym machines are very dated and often out of service. The gym itself requires better and frequent cleaning especially the toilets/changing room which always has a foul smell. It's often messy or disorganised with weights laying about all over the place. It doesnt have a great slection of latest gym classes such as less mills. It seems like the air con doesnt get switched on even in the summer when its unbearably hot. The staff are very unattentive and the overall gym etiquette of gym goers is shockingly awful as no one really wipes down their equipment after use or put things back where they found it. All in all, it's not the gym for me unfortunately.

Whilst Pure Gym is a 'no frills' gym I can only express my praise for Femi's Strength and Core classes. He is clear in his instructions and makes you want to work hard ... he also likes to sing along sometimes!!

Dominikas burn class was very good. She was attentive and knew how to get the best out of me. Would go to the class again

Low quality commercial gym.
Too busy recently and not good gym services such as machines and environment.
Changing rooms are not very clean and has a bad scent.
The only positive thing about puregym is that its cheap

Very outdated equipment and the establishment has an unpleasant smell to it, lack of ventilation.

The gym in Park Royal is way too warm in comparison to other guys I have attended in the past, and it feels like there is no adequate ventilation despite the presence of the ducts.
In terms of equipment, it is well equipped but there is only 1 leg curl machine which I had to wait for about an hour to get to my turn. Generally it is a popular machine and if you removed two other less used/popular machines and added two more leg curls, it would make a lot of the members happy.

The men's toilets are very badly maintained , you feel like vomiting seeing the cleanliness and standards, they need someone to watch out the toilets & showers every 2hrs especially every 1 hrs during the peak timings , I am seriously looking for an alternative gym .
Equally saying it there lies the responsibility of the gym users to be clean in their habits but some are born with such uncleanier habits which can never be taken off from them which is a sad part of their upbringing.

I paid for a gym membership and the application did not update my status. There goes £16…

I’m very impressed with the range of equipment on offer, but what lets this gym down is it’s very unclean, the changing rooms look like they have not been cleaned in weeks, showers are very dirty, the floors are all stained, toilets are in bad condition.

I like PureGym but twice I hated them when:
1) In order to change the region, I had to upgrade the membership. Then after a month, the off-peak option was still unavailable in the app, there was no phone to call and I had to write an email to ask for a downgrade.
2) The was some minor issue with the card and the direct debit did not go through, which I noticed immediately. I tried to pay in the app and the website but there was no such option. There was no option to fix it that day at al, so l had to skip a session. PureGym blocked my membership and changed more than a monthly membership in penalties. They also wanted to change a joining fee but then graciously decided not to.

Terrible! Park Royal Puregym is an absolute mess. Majority of the machines dont work, those that do are rusty and dont work well at all. Layout of the entire equipment is just messy and confusing. Changing rooms smell really bad. Will never go again.

Love Love Love Pure Gym Park Royal, the management staff, Karis and Laura are amazing and really help you not just with workouts and routines but just being there when you need to chat. They have run this gym amazingly over the last couple of years and having been a loyal member for nearly 10 years I feel they have done the best! They are very busy but always approachable and positive. The 'dance floor' is well maintained with lots of equipment. The classes are good and I believe new ones are being added. Rhian makes it her mission to make you sweat in her Tuesday and Friday classes 'SWEAT', Ibz and Alysha really get you going with their LBT classes (again loads of sweating but strength is happening) .... my week is filled with energy and I wouldn't have it any other way! Keep doing what you do so well ladies!!
