Overall the gym is value for money, enough equipment and friendly. However, the running machines are a little old and temperamental and there is a whiff of weed regularly in the changing rooms.

Poor customer service online and not a nice place to work out.

Very helpful staff who are easy to find and keen to support. Lots of machines. I went around 9:30 am and it wasn't busy at all.

The gym was has everything you need for a full body workout. The only down side for me was the warm up area was slightly too small at this gym. They could solve this problem by letting people use the room where classes are held (obviously when there’s no classes running). The only other thing I could recommend is to let the friend go in whenever they want. Currently you have to be there at the same time as the gym member.

My daughter joined this gym and on her introductory tour was cat called and wolf whistled at by a man. The staff told her that he was a regular and always did that and that they just ignore him.
She felt extremely uncomfortable and didn’t want to go after that.
I emailed to complain and have heard absolutely nothing. What a terrible environment to create for a young woman and to accept that kind of belittling behaviour. Totally unacceptable and they obviously don’t care from the shop floor to the management level. We have cancelled the membership.

Some are better maintained than others but generally very good value for money. Especially the multi-club accessing clubs 24-7.

They overcharged me upon joining.
I joined up at a reduced rate (£17.49), with a £5 joining fee - so my first payment totalled £22.49.
They them, for no reason, charged me £10 10 days later.
Now, bearing in mind they only have permission to take a direct debit payment from me, on a specific date, for a specific amount (£17.49), this isn't legal.
I flagged this with their team who said "Sorry for any confusion, the joining fee was £15.00 as only £5.00 was collected at the join up stage due to an error a further £10.00 was collected by direct debit on 28/3/25."
After lots of back and forth, they are refusing to refund this £10, and blaming a third-party for the error (vitality).
I will be speaking with my bank. Do not join Pure Gym, they cannot be trusted with your account details, and their customer service is inflexible.
EDIT:
In response to your response... yes, if you read, you can see I paid a £5 joining fee. You then collected a further £10 for a "joining fee" 2 weeks later, owing to "an error", which you could neither prove or elaborate on.

Need more cleaning paper towels etc.
Also a sign to ask when finishing using gym equipment to wipe down for the next person. Basic hygiene.

The gym is always overcrowded, and there needs to be a system to limit the number of people at any given time. Having to wait to use the equipment is frustrating, so I’ll be exploring other options.

Trouble using blue light card discount. Also, your page asked me for all my bank details long number plus account number plus sort code plus exp date plus 3 digits on back. This is illegal but I still gave the details and the payment kept being declined tens of attempts. At the end I tried it after 2 days again and it just asked normal details and at the end it worked.
