Pros - good equipment, people tend to put items back in the right places.
Cons-
Lighting- Need a light on the keypad at the front.
Gym shower cleanliness needs to improve - constantly walking in other peoples pubes and dirt in the shower, not ideal when I’m trying to wash.

Dangerous staff
Went to the gym and in the middle of the gym floor is someone wearing a personal trainer jumper threw a medicine ball over my head.

Having travelled over 150 miles, my husband and I decided to pop into Pure Gym.
We were met by an angel!
My, my, my!! What a greeting we received! Treena, the Assistant Manager, delivered service that was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment her smiley face appeared at the door, her warmth was felt.
There was no hard sell, no pressure, just a genuine, practically with open arms invitation to explore the facilities. Treena’s professionalism and passion for her role were clearly evident as she took the time to give us a thorough tour, answering every question with bags of enthusiasm, knowledge and patience.
In a time where customer service is lacking, Treena embodies the perfect combination of friendliness and expertise.
In all our years of going to gyms, we’ve never experienced such a welcome.
Treena, you are a true gem for Pure Gym! Not only representing the company, but elevating the company!
As a result, we purchased two 3 day passes before we travel 150 miles back home.
Thank you for transforming our simple visit, into a memorable experience! See you upon our return.

There’s a whole host reasons why Puregym is the best. Puregym is by far the cleanest and most spacious gym chain I have ever used. Additionally, I cannot fault the range of equipment and quality of the weights provided - I’ve never seen a faulty machine or a missing weight. As a person who has two decades of gym use, it’s by far the best in both value for money and aesthetics. The Merthyr branch in particular is by far the best setup I’ve used and the team of personnel are superb. Furthermore, the hydration station is mega... I have never seen that before. Incredibly pleased with the service Puregym provides.

The gym was well laid out with lots of space between equipment, good variation of equipment available. It was very clean. Enjoyed my visit. Didn't see that many members of staff though.

Easy and quick
It was straight forward and easy to do, everything was explained simply and easy to comprehend. It was not overwhelming for me, as someone who has not been to the gym for a very long time.
