I’ve been a member at PureGym New…

I’ve been a member at PureGym New Barnet for several months and I have to say the manager, Gillmar, is by far the worst I’ve experienced in any PureGym.
The machines are constantly breaking down and he has no idea how to fix them or even report them properly. Several pieces of equipment are left in dangerous condition — loose cables, unstable benches, and malfunctioning treadmills that could seriously injure someone one day. It feels like he just ignores the problems until an accident happens.
On top of that, he is extremely unfriendly. He never smiles, never greets customers, and is never seen on the gym floor talking to members like every other PureGym manager does. Instead, he’s always sitting behind the desk or in the office scrolling on his phone like a teenager.
Zero professionalism, zero customer care, and zero maintenance knowledge. PureGym New Barnet desperately needs a new manager. Very disappointed.

In my last feedback about Pure Gym New Barnet, I mentioned that the car park area needed tidying up and repainting. I was pleased to see that both were done. The staircase walls from the car park to the gym were also repainted and the staircase carpet felt cleaner. Thank you for listening

Worst gym in the world

Worst gym in the world. Dirty, smells like a toilet, there’s several water leaks coming from the ceiling. Toilets are dirty and have been closed for a week, can’t even wash your hands. Staff don’t do anything at all but then again pure gym pays them in peanuts. The worst thing is that it’s full of teenagers. They come in groups of 6, vaping in the changing rooms, asking you how many sets you have on everything. Stay away from this gym, you’re better off spending a bit more money and going somewhere that isn’t full of teenagers and where the staff are paid enough to have take some pride

The app was confusing

The app was confusing. When I complained that I had been charged wrongly the explanation given to me made no sense. I was told that it was all my fault, as if it was confusing I shouldn’t have used it.

ZEROJF promo code

I saw the promo code ZEROJF on Instagram and decided to join the gym today. The website mentioned to “use the promo code at checkout,” but I was never prompted to enter one—only given the option to click “Pay Now.”
After completing my membership signup, I noticed on my bank statement that the £15 enrolment fee was charged, even though the promo code should have waived it.
Could you please help apply the promo code or refund the enrolment fee?

Booked my induction course for Sunday…

Booked my induction course for Sunday 26/10. No one was there to see me. I used the equipment without knowing what I was doing. Very disappointed. I have nie booked my induction for this morning at 7.30am. Too early for me but have no choice as I am keen to start.

Stolen Gold Chain and Opal Pendant

I've left it several months as discovered this review site. I finished my class (second last in the evening with one more keep fit class to follow) and collected my shoes and bag from the floor beside me. Unfortunately I had removed a gold chain with an Opal pendant on and left it on the floor also. I forgot to collect it and when I went in to enquire next day learned no cleaning upper space that evening so somebody at the last class didn't hand it in when they saw it. Apart from the sentimental value which is incalculable (received from deceased Mother) it is a fine gold chain and probably quite expensive now. If anybody reads this and it touches a chord and you can help by anonymously returning this please know your positive karma will be strengthened as well as my appreciation for being reunited with this chain and pendant. Thank you.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever

I called the customer service helpline because my membership is pending (even though I'm paying for it) I could not access my home gym and was forced to buy a day pass. Staff member wearing glasses saw me wave at them asking for help and they ignored me. I tried to contact customer support through the website but the page is down and when I try to contact through Facebook all I get is a help bot telling me to wait for 12 HOURS! Worst gym experience of my life never felt so un-welcomed.

Love this gym

Love this gym, classes are consistently good. Great trainers, all very prepared. Hats off to Natasha Lazarevic-Lecocq in particular, amazing yoga teacher providing an ever engaging and challenging practice. One class with her and my core is more sore than after a class of strength training!

there are a few issues which I can…

there are a few issues which I can mention as follow
some Equipments in the gym are pretty old or do not function as they should and (repair????)
Lockers are mostly broken and not safe at all.
there are no employed staff present regularly.
better management would be appropriate.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment are fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. There is simply not enough equipment in…

There is simply not enough equipment in the gym. On top of that there are guys who are hogging one equipment for hours, sitting around and chatting for most of the time but won't let others use the equipment. I have spoken to the manager once about such behaviour but not sure if it was taken any seriously. I feel lucky if I get to do the work out I planned to do in the session. Quite frustrating. There is no active monitoring by the staffs if everything is going ok. It could have been way better if the staffs were more active.

Good gym, shame about the poor lockers

Great gym, shame they didn’t replace the lockers that have damaged doors and locks when they redecorated the gym.
The lockers have been broken into numerous times, members deserve secure lockers.

The studios are cold and not heated

The studios are cold and not heated. Thus has been reported weeks ago and has this been sorted? Can’t do yoga in the cold!!

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers.
