Absolutely filthy today
Absolutely filthy today. Only one toilet works and no toilet paper in there. Big leak in the ceiling which can't be helped but the plastic bin used to catch the drips was overflowing. Not a staff member in sight. Absolutely appalling.

Not a bad start
Not a bad start, only negative was the showers, felt more unclean after stepping in the cubicle than I did before.
Equipment was decent . Most of it in good working order.

Great gym, but too much mobile phone use.
I enjoy using Pure Gym, as it's convenient for my
needs. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is good. Equipment is quite scarce and this is exacerbated by the use of mobile phones in the gym. If you one who who wants to spend most of your workout on the phone and block equipment then the gym is for you. If you are serious about your training and leave the phone in the locker room, then it is not.

Generally I really like PureGym for its ease of use. However on my most recent visit there were four paper dispensers (to wipe down the equipment). All of them were empty. There was no-one around to speak to and no-one attending to servicing the cleaning stations.
Generally I think PureGym could/should really improve the app/method by which you can register as a one-off user. The Day Pass is really difficult to create and often slow, once you've made the purchase, to acknowledge receipt.

Boost your glutes options
Please get more glute specific machines, there are so so many out there and other Pure Gyms have a much better selection. At Newport, unless you've been able to get one or the few bars available and even one of the correct pads for hip thrusts, you've got one hip thrust machine and one hip abduction machine. Considering how often the cables are in use, a few extension stands, hyperextension machine glute/ham developer and a kickback machine would make a difference. Even more hip thrust stations would also help. If there could be a dedicated area, a "glute workshop" would make a real difference (and not only include one machine)

Terrible design and use of space it's in desperate need of an upgrade which is frustrating for members as we been waiting a long time for it they have really helpful and nice staff and nice atmosphere at gym
