The gym was always too crowded so I hardly could get to use what I needed.

The Puregym in Basford should have more equipment to deal with the ever growing clients including a hack squat machine, pendulum squat to help people train legs with knee injuries as these support the back and knee much better than a squat machine
there should be implications put in place for people that do not tidy away their equipment as it is not right that any one else should do it and the cleaner should have to navigate around stray weights

Firstly, no complaints about the equipment or the staff - there's great choices and the staff are polite. However, the gym is stuffed to the brim of juice head men and young boys that takeover any kind of weight-involved equipment, and stare at girls throughout their visit, intimidating them and stopping them from considering using the equipment. There needs to be a ladies section, or a ladies day/specific hours. I understand its a mixed gym, but it's predominantly men, because of how uncomfortable they make the visits for women. I am strongly considering leaving already after only a month because all I feel i can do is cardio for 30 minutes then leave and try to do extra bits at home. Considering the price, there needs to be more put in place to make it accessible for both genders. It's targeted to men - pure and simple. I'm going to likely pay a higher monthly payment for a gym with a ladies section of the gym. We lift weights too.

You should watch the cctv and ban the people that don’t stack dumbbells and weights. They throw them around and leave them in the middle. The gym is always dirty, during covid you had 2 or 3 cleaners at night now it looks like nobody cleans the gym. Although the equipment is better the atmosphere and people are worse month by month.

The eqipment was in good condition, although some of it was awaiting repair.I had a good work out as usual the changing rooms were clean and cool ,but I notice the clock was missing, just a minor thing. It is still a very good gym.

No classes during daytime anymore.
My work pattern makes it difficult to attend morning and evening classes so cancelled my membership. Spoke to management Kate manger was abrupt and declared we are short staffed and walked off so her attitude put me off too

Stuck up horrid staff who was unbelievable condescending to my brother who recently turned 17 he was told he would be banned from the gym and told him was very cute while the manager had her hand on his shoulder he’s not a tall boy but Infront of all my friends it’s caused him to be scared of the gym and no longer be wanting me o come back I’ll never come back

I have been a member of basofrd gym for a few months now after which realising that I wouldn't get any help from majority of the staff nearly every single male staff member doesn't carry out any standard duties of a personal trainer no daily cleaning checks no toilet checks find a literal poo on the floor informing a staff member and 2 hours later still there while finding nost of them unapproachable for help as only interested in helping women appearing to me like sex pests which is ashame as the industry already has a bad name but instead of helping a new comer with bad technique in the free weights section they would just ignore them and OR just stand there on their phones running up to women interrupting workouts just to introduce themselves

Gym is unhygienic. Weights left every where and bins over flowing with rubbish for over a week. Disgusting.
