The reason my experience has been great…
The reason my experience has been great is because of a instructor who works at Castle Marina Pure Gym named Mona Alkayyal.
You will always know when Mona classes are taking place because they are full, and whole atmosphere of the room is friendly, welcoming and buzzing. Not only does she change the routine and structure of classes every week she even manages to change the music too, so you are never bored and always excited of what will come next.
Mona always takes time out to talk to members, and always offers free advice towards your gym journey, and always exercises, Patients, Empathy where needed and is very knowledgably in all areas of fitness and food health. Mona is also very kind and always approachable to all of clients needs for example I was moaning about leaving my towel at home, and the impact this has on my trainer, Monas response was I have a spare towel and within seconds a towel was in my hands.....
I would absolutely 100 percent recommend Mona to anyone looking to improve their fitness or even just for a gym chat.
She is such a engaging coach who actually cares.

Unfortunately
Unfortunately, Pura Gym Castle Marina seems to give priority to people who are attending classes, without considering other members who are there to train independently.
Today, for example, there was meditation music being played at a very high volume. This kind of music does not help at all those who wake up on a Sunday morning to come and train. Instead, it makes training uncomfortable and difficult.
This is not the first time this has happened, and it is becoming frustrating. I believe the gym should be a space that accommodates all members, not only those attending classes.

We provide all of our teams with bespoke music platforms created just for fitness classes which provide a wide range of motivating music specific to each class type PureGym offers. Staff should undertake regular volume checks for the safety and comfort of our members, but if you approach the Gym Manager with more info, including dates and time, they will be more than happy to look into this for you and ensure the music is kept at the expected volume. We’re afraid it's true, our gyms can become busy, especially at peak times. The busyness of the gym does fluctuate throughout the day, or depending on the day of the week. You can always check how busy the gym is before attending on your PureGym app.!

Gym review
It’s really good gym and affordable and can accommodate many people , I go to gym evening, even though it’s the most rush time in the gym , I find a place to workout peacefully with out any interruptions

Good gym
Good free weights area, good machines to work out could do with another chest press machine & could do with more weights (plates) and a sauna and steam room as it would be good for recovery. Also bit more space in the changing rooms

Regarding the point raised, we’re afraid this would not be possible; we don't have pools/saunas etc. as standard in our gyms as our focus is on providing quality fitness equipment while keeping costs affordable for all members. There is also a 'cramped' vibe with university students around 4-5pm which is a shame too..

Great value for money
The gym is very clean and staffs are very friendly. The gym has lot of equipments and personal training is also available. Overall a great experience.

Plenty of equipment-very poor hygiene
All the training facilities are fine .
There’s not enough signs asking people to clean after they’ve been on any cardio - the ski machine is vile . Pools of sweat left on the floor , lack of spray, signs , and tissues , just to ask wipe your sweat of the floor/ machines , wouldn’t go amiss- instead of sitting in the office doing f***all - it’s all there to see, put cleaning facilities in front of these machines - not asking too much .

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.
