Very happy with my local pure gym. Convenient, always well cleaned and maintained and not too busy. Lost a star for lack of customer engagement… not looking for conversation but eye contact and a hello would make it a more friendly and warm environment

Great selection of equipment, clean and friendly.
Make sure you get into the habit of entering your car reg on the touchscreen pad when you arrive. That way you won't get a parking ticket should you be visiting outside of the adjacent Sainsbury's store opening hours.

I love the new Pure Gym,
I love the new Pure Gym,
I've been going about 8 weeks now 3/4 a times a week and throughly enjoy my time at the gym.
Great staff who seen genuinely interested in what they do, nice, clean, bright and airy space with a good choice of equipment. Great mix & variety of classes that aren't exactly the same each week.
No huge groups of young kids hogging the equipment, posing and filming themselves with tripods. (My last gym was a nightmare for it)

Clean environment with good equipment…
Clean environment with good equipment and an ample amount.
The one drawback is the showers are a little on the cold side.

Enjoying this gym
Great place. Staff and members are friendly and supportive. I’m happy going 3-4 times a week during the day. I rarely have to wait to use a machine.

Helpful and friendly staff, gym is always clean and staff can actively be seen cleaning the equipment. Good range of gym equipment and the classes are great.

No parking - members are fined for parking
As several others have mentioned, members are never told to register their car reg every time they enter the gym. As a result several members have received parking charges of £85.
The management never took responsibility when it is clearly evident that 1) no free parking is allowed at the only available access to the gym and 2) no mention of the parking situation is included in the joining instructions and terms. Instead, when the problem emerged, management silently added A4 paper with warning about the need to enter the car reg at a tablet that is almost hidden behind a wall. Do not waste your time, money and above all sanity to become a member. I am cancelling mine.

Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to cancel such tickets. Information regarding parking is available on the home page of any PureGym which offers parking. The correct parking procedures must be followed, to avoid a parking ticket. We would always advise that you appeal the fine and explain the circumstances. If you get in touch with Member Services, we can also provide you with an appeal document which will be an official letter from PureGym Head Office, stating that you are a member of PureGym and your attendance log for the date in question, will also be provided as proof to show you were in the gym. If your appeal is rejected, we would suggest submitting a case with POPLA. POPLA are an independent appeals process which works with the Ombudsman Service. They investigate whether this fine was issued correctly in accordance with the terms and condition of the car park; whilst reviewing evidence provided in the appeal. On the rejection notice, there should be a 10-digit verification code, and you will then be able to submit an appeal with POPLA via their website: http://www.popla.co.uk/poplaappealprocess. Although we cannot guarantee they will cancel the fine, we do hope for a positive outcome.

gym ok enjoy 24 hours yanga water warm not chilled parking a nightmare there now giving out fines for not putting reg number in within 10 minutes which can be a push if theres others using it already they have turned parking into a money pit and showers cold.

£85 parking fine
I've been using the gym for 2 weeks and I've already received an £85 parking fine. Now they ask members register the car reg EVERY SINGLE DAY to avoid parking fines, that's ridiculous.

Received my £85 parking fine today!
I have since realised that you have to enter your vehicle details on a monitor mounted to the wall behind you as you walk in (yes I'm being serious). No signage as you walk in reminding you where and how to do this of course.
It's poor from Puregym, they would have known this was going to be an issue but it appears that they have made no effort to support members. I am expecting the usual cut and paste reply, something like: "the car park is operated by a third party and therefore has nothing to do with us blah blah blah"
If my appeal is rejected, I will be cancelling my membership. The Everlast gym at Victoria retail park (less than a mile from Puregym) will be my new gym as there are no parking restrictions there!

Poor show from pure gym
Poor show from pure gym.
Posted on social media 5 times a day for 8 weeks trying to get people through the door stating free parking at Sainsbury’s and forgot to mention the caveat that you need to put your registration details in. No signage to state this just a small pad not easily on display if you aren’t looking for it and no communication via email. 12.99 a month sounds fantastic until it’s 85 quid to park.
Should have put a bit more focus on your social media/ communications in emails to let customers know, quite clearly reading the reviews and on Facebook this is a communications issue from pure gym and quite frankly customers should be reinstated for your lack of communication

Just got first parking ticket
Just got first parking ticket , when signed up nothing was on website about entering details but now it’s on there! I understand it’s in the gym but my last pure gym was a machine to enter details if more than 2 hours you do not expect to park in a big car park advertised for pure hun and then have to enter car details if out of Sainsbury’s hours so 1 £85 fine so far and been 6 times since , tried to contact to get details needed to appeal but no help , pure gym basically not their problem

Out of store hours parking!!!!
Attended 02.10.23 at 05.44am. Just received a notice for parking fine for £85.00. Website says free parking at Sainsburys! just been to the gym and spoken to the Manager, no where are there signs telling you to enter your car reg to stop any fine in out of shop hours parking. Staff were simply not interested. Shame on Pure gym for no notification either in the gym or on website, will have another fine landing on the mat tomorrow. Thank goodness was poorly and haven't been since otherwise would be looking at £500!!!
