Youth centre for bored young boys
The gym is crowded in the evenings with young boys who have nowhere else to go so they just bum around in the gym chatting. The changing room has groups of boys vaping, using their camera phones and checking out all the naked old men getting changed.

Messy and no respect
There is no respect for putting weights back. People hoard items. And sit on equipment on there phones for ages, it's always a mess. Kit is decent but the lack of respect and etiquite from members let's it down very much.

The people are amazing and the new equipment is rly good

Room for improvement.
The gym is undergoing some internal upgrades. The initial layout was badly planned with most cardio equipment too close to each other. I personally complained to the Gym manager about this.
The team has updated the layout since and there is more room between the equipment, although there are room for improvement.
I like this gym, friendly staff and trainers.
In general, it is very clean and well equip wit a variety of training equipment.
Easy access and central.

I have cancelled my gym membership and…
I have cancelled my gym membership and my other half .
To much stuff has been put upstairs.
We gave up after 45 mins the other day .

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.

PureGym Neaton going down hill fast.
PureGym Neaton. Plumded new depths tonight. Arrived in the changing room 12-14 lads sat on all the seats, gear all over the place. Two of them started boxing whilst I was in there. Another guy asked them to do it in the gym and got a mouthful. In the gym, just another night when you can't get on the equipment because there are too many people in there. Constantly see two people coming through the pods on a single code. Staff seem oblivious to it or don't care. Back in the changing rooms after a frustrating session of people hussling off equipment I've only just got on the floor of the changing room is covered in litter and discarded kit, the shower that's been out of order for weeks is still not fixed and it stinks like the gents in a pub at kicking out time. If things don't improve soon I'll be taking my custom elsewhere.

Toilets
For me the biggest issue is the toilets. I've not been yet where I've gone to use them and there has either been urine or vomit over the seats and floor. The last time I went one toilet was out of order and the other was full of vomit.. I had to leave to just use the toilet. Its good it's unmanned but sometimes you need support or someone to speak to members who aren't there to use the equipment.

Showers and lockers need replacing or repairing
Good equipment. Could do with more than 1 of the popular machines. Men's shower cubicles have been broken for a month now plus most of the lockers need replacing as the locks are faulty.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.

I’ve recently joined this gym
I’ve recently joined this gym and found the joining process easy and straightforward. The facilities are nice clean and plenty of sanitizer stations to clean equipment. There are lots of classes at various times to suit and staff have been helpful. My two improvements would be in other gyms I’ve always had big screen tv on the walls which is a good distraction when your working out and although I have my phone it’s not really the same . The other is the stamping of car park tickets - it’s fantastic that we get free parking however anytime you stamp the ticket it very rarely registers at the barriers and I always have to ring the buzzer to be let out the car park , otherwise I have been so far impressed with my pure gym experience!

Friendly, safe environment
Always a friendly, safe place to be. The only thing I would like to see is student discounts or offers for those that are still in education but want to keep fit :)

Love the classes!! Always made to feel comfortable and can go at your own pace!!
Not very confident but have found the confidence to do a few classes now and really enjoy them!! Especially Pump with Andy and aerobics with Phillip.
