It’s a pretty good set up for sure with a good range of equipment and an open and a nice space to train in. I’ve dropped them a few stars as it has proven impossible to communicate with them directly.

I am a university student that wants to…
I am a university student that wants to get into better shape and decides to join puregym. They advertised 30% off for the first 6 months and when I tried to get the student membership, it didn't work, so I had to pay full price instead of a discounted price.

Great gym with extraordinary deals!
Personally has all of the equipment I'd want, even though it can understandably get quite busy at peak times. Great selection of free weights and a decent range of machines, as well as nice enough toilets/showers/lockers. Friendly staff and can't complain about much else with their very competitive student/NHS prices.

Packed. Dirty. Hot.
Gym is packed. Equipment is dirty (think sticky equipment etc). No air conditioning/ its hot and smells bad. Bad vibes all round. Will be cancelling membership after the first month lol.

I would score it 3 and half actually
I would score it 3 and half actually. There is room for improvement. Some easy fixes that wouldn't cost much for me would be adding hooks inside the shower stalls. It's senseless the shower stalls have no hooks so logically one can't even wear a towel to the shower. Like what man designed the women's changing room?! I also wish there was a shower floor wiper available so users could wipe the shower floors after use, just like how users wipe gym equipment clean to remove sweat after using I think we could similarly wipe the water in the shower stalls after use. We used to do that in my previous gym and honestly it's a good idea to encourage customers to be considerate and conscious of others at the gym to get into the habit of always cleaning after themselves. I think during off peak hours when there aren't cleaning staff around it would help to have it easily available anyway.
Oh wait I do have another recommendation, but it's probably not a quick easy fix. The wall mirror in the studio room, it would help if those mirrors were extended all the way down to the floor so people can actually see what they are doing when doing floorwork, which 99% of the time they are only doing floor work in the studio room! I hate it when I'm doing abs, or doing yoga on the mat I can't look at my form since because the mirror is way above so it's actually so useless. Unless you're doing some dance routine standing up one can't look at their workouts!
I only ever go during super off-peak hours so it's fairly quiet which is nice. I've got no other complaints otherwise mostly. I like the place is open 24/7. I find the vending machines extremely handy, however, things like gym towels and even shower towels would be extremely handy if they were available to buy including padlocks, so on days if you ever did forget to bring in your gym towels or shower towels or your padlock for your locker we could just buy it from the vending machine? I remember having those easily available in my previous gym. But I absolutely love the pure gym app and find it extremely handy. I love how transparent and accessible it is. It makes all the classes, timings so easy to track along with all the remaining things available at the gym. 10 out of 10 for the app. Absolutely no improvements needed on the app.
