Good gym with variety of equipment
Good gym with variety of equipment. Some cardio machines needed new batteries though as display wasn't working.

The instructor was great
The instructor was great. She was friendly and encouraged people without being ‘ too much’ really enjoyed my first GLC class at Brotherhood and will be back next week

Equipment not maintained
Equipment not maintained - no display on assault bike, rowing machine seat guides badly worn, ropes frayed on ski ergometer.
The lockers stink!
UPDATE:
Following the response from PureGym on 23 Sept.
The display on the assault bike is STILL blank - does it just need a new battery?
The seat guides on the rowing machine are even worse.
The ropes on the ski ergometer remain frayed.
So much for acting on feedback!
Also - I never see any staff member checking on groups of youngsters who running around the gym and are obviously under 16 years of age.

Me and my friend joined Monday 8th sept…
Me and my friend joined Monday 8th sept and was registered by an extremely helpful young lady who booked us for an induction on the weds and again showed us different machines and how to use them. She was very patient, helpful and friendly. My friend and I felt very comfortable about joining a gym in our late 60’s !!!

Got Penalty ticket while using The Puregym
When I joint The Pure Gym , I have been told to use the car park which is managed by Euro Car Park (Brotherhood Retail car park).
Now I have penalty ticket issued by Euro Car park for staying in the Gym for 1hr 39 minutes .
Staff are ignorant and all they all trained to ignore anyone ask for help.
I have emailed the Pure Gym and the Pure Gym replied and advised me that this is not Pure Gym responsibility. What a scam.
Avoid this Pure Gym as there is no management and no one to help if you need .

The car park is operated by a third party company in which we do not have any affiliation with. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to cancel such tickets. Information regarding parking is available on the home page of any PureGym which offers parking. The correct parking procedures must be followed, to avoid a parking ticket. We would always advise that you appeal the fine and explain the circumstances. If you get in touch with Member Services, we can also provide you with an appeal document which will be an official letter from PureGym Head Office, stating that you are a member of PureGym and your attendance log for the date in question, will also be provided as proof to show you were in the gym. If your appeal is rejected, we would suggest submitting a case with POPLA. POPLA are an independent appeals process which works with the Ombudsman Service. They investigate whether this fine was issued correctly in accordance with the terms and condition of the car park; whilst reviewing evidence provided in the appeal. On the rejection notice, there should be a 10-digit verification code, and you will then be able to submit an appeal with POPLA via their website: http://www.popla.co.uk/poplaappealprocess. Although we cannot guarantee they will cancel the fine, we do hope for a positive outcome. Thanks, PureGym.

Friendly free advice
Had a one to one session with Ollie for advice on using more equipment but taking care of back issues. Very friendly and helpful. Always clean and tidy here, friendly and polite people. Not particularly confident myself but am comfortable here on my own.

Absolutely atrocious staff
Absolutely atrocious staff.
A staff member by the name Tyler Henderson (Taylor Anderson, not sure which as he started mumbling when noticed he was wearing Pure gym clothing and was asked for his name) was very cruel and disrespectful to my 68 year old father. Raising his voice at him and threatening violence all because he had unknowingly set his mat where the block was apparently about to hold a class. Proceeded to take my father’s phone and water bottle. Could almost argue it was race driven by how degradingly he spoke to him. Management have been made aware and a young lady by the name of Zoe seems to be proactively working to rectify the situation but this is absolutely unacceptable. So much for creating a safe environment for people to exercise.

No staff and no sanitation, broken lockers, dirty machines.
Joining process was ok. Would be helpful to not have to do it in the entrance way. I know you can do it on line beforehand but we had hoped to have a look around before joining. Not possible!
Once in there was no staff at the help desk to answer any questions.
Discovered that you need your own lock for the lockers. Ok. Go downstairs to buy one. Vending machine that sells them is out of order! Walk next door to pound land to buy one. Latches on lockers don’t lock even when you put your lock on it!
To top it all off, there are no sanitizing wipes. None! Therefore not one machine gets cleaned between uses. Hope you like sweat stained treadmills.
Glad we purchased a three day pass. We won’t be back after that.

PureGym prides itself on being able to offer state of the art fitness facilities to our members in a safe and welcoming environment. We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols, including the introduction of cleaning stations, to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste.
We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment.

I don’t think the gym is bad. But I’m used to higher level of equipment, the time of day may have been a factor. It was a bit over crowded. It was a Saturday morning after all . You wouldn’t be my first as choice

Our gyms are indeed very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website to see how many people are in the gym.
Please also feel free to ask to switch in with a member while they rest between sets, this can also help you keep an even pace between sets. Thanks, PureGym.
Why I Like Pure Gym
I like the fact that it's open 24/7 i can exercise whenever I feel like it. It's got all the equipment necessary for building both strength and fitness. The price is good for 24/7 opening hours, and I like the fact that PTI instructors and fitness classes are available if ever I want them

All the equipment and facilities were good ,but last time I went in the male changing room three teenagers were messing around with a toilet roll ,leaving a mess ,then they started to vape ,no one visible to chat too ,do the staff wear a uniform etc ,thanks

I think that this gym provides you with all the equipment you'd need, with a cheap membership and it being relatively open even at peak times. 8.5/10 great gym especially for beginners plus staff and people are great and super helpful
