PureGym Serpentine Green: Must Visit
I have been using this premise for quite a while and I’m happy with equipments availability, inside atmosphere and cleaning needs a bit of work otherwise it’s 5 stars, parking facilities and attached other supermarkets.

I do not pay for personal training but I do feel if they got up and gave advice to people they mite gain more attention.
Advice should be free.

First time taking part in a class at puregym, joined after going with my bro-in-law over Xmas as he is a member. I got a discount monthly membership (Defence discount) and I feel the price is very competitive and the gym facilities and classes are great. Looking forward attending more classes in the future and improving my fitness too.

We provide all of our teams with bespoke music platforms created just for fitness classes which provide a wide range of motivating music specific to each class type PureGym offers. Staff should undertake regular volume checks for the safety and comfort of our members, but if you approach the Gym Manager with more info, including dates and time, they will be more than happy to look into this for you and ensure the music is kept at the expected volume. So far I been a loyal customer ever…
So far I been a loyal customer ever since it opened for nearly 3 years, and personally not a lot has changed, they got some new equipment's, people numbers are constantly mid/to high, my personal one of the main issues with the gym is entrance dodgers, especially on the weekends, during unstaffed hours, which essentially means that people without proper entrance code is stealing from legit customers.
Another issue is constant leaking roof during rainy days, and general cleanness, I understand it's hard to be on top of the top notch cleaning, but this needs improving for safety and general hygiene reasons. Free station with accessible wet wipes for cleaning equipment ourselves after use would be a huge benefit for everyone.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym! We continue to ask, as we always have, that members bring with them a towel to wipe kit before and after use and where possible, the team will remind members of this. However we fully understand the importance of cleanliness so please be assured this will be dealt with. I've had a membership for both brotherhood and serpentine gyms and this one and the atmosphere here is amazing. Great staff, clean gym and there's always enough space to move around.

Air-conditioners are switched off at…
Air-conditioners are switched off at night and no air from vents either. Especially in this summer heat. Sent email to management citing this was breaching health and safety and the response from management was that this was to save cost! Then why did you raise the membership fee citing to improve services??

We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based on size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored.
All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes.

Extremely poor Management and customer service
Poor Management, Zero Communication – Disappointed Longtime Member
I’ve been a loyal PureGym member for years, but the experience I had today at the Peterborough Serpentine Green location was unacceptable and extremely frustrating.
I arrived at 7:10 AM and was denied access despite having a multi-gym membership. No warning, no notifications, no email updates about changes to membership access or pricing. I spoke to the personal trainer Brad Frogatt(who tried to help but had no information), and there was no manager or supervisor on-site to provide answers or assistance. The only advice I was given was to “go online and contact customer membership service.” That’s not how a national gym chain should be run.
I wasted my time, couldn’t train, and left without any resolution. My membership ends in a few days, and I now have no gym access and no compensation or communication about why this is happening. For a company that promotes “flexible, accessible fitness,” the lack of support, transparency, and leadership is shocking.
Do better, PureGym. Your members deserve respect, communication, and solutions not confusion and silence.

Great gym
Great gym. Staff friendly. Harry was welcoming and showed me around and gave me all the information I needed. Lots of equipment. All in good working order. Very busy but multiple cable stations, lat pulldowns, etc. 24 hour gym so great for shift workers like me. Changing rooms clean and tidy. Lots of free parking.
