How is share frustration? I am posting this on here to let people see hopefully PureGym will read it and respond as it is impossible to contact them. Here is the letter I’ve sent to numerous email addresses I need to be responded by an AI standard message phone numbers don’t work there’s just no way to contact them. I have wasted half my day not a good start to getting fit. Dear PureGym Member Services,
My name is John Lloyd. I have been attempting to join PureGym since 6:00 am today using the discount code HALF PRICE, yet despite repeated attempts, the code is not working, and I have been completely unable to complete my registration.
I have tried everything possible to resolve this issue: multiple attempts online, calling your customer service number (0344 477 0005), emailing your support address, and even visiting the gym in person. Each attempt has been met with automated responses, a complete lack of staff presence, or no assistance whatsoever.
At the gym, I spent over an hour ringing the doorbell, trying to get staff to come down. When I called the emergency number, the security guard kindly instructed me to stand in the reception while he made an announcement over the gym’s PA system — yet despite his efforts, nobody attended. I left the gym after hours of wasted effort, utterly frustrated.
This experience is completely unacceptable. I have now spent over four and a half hours attempting to join your gym, and I am deeply disappointed by the lack of human support or urgency in addressing member issues. The inability to access the promotion I was entitled to, combined with the total absence of assistance, reflects extremely poorly on your business.
I demand immediate human intervention to resolve this matter and to allow me to join using the discount code I was promised. You can reach me directly at 07 500 298666.
I expect a prompt response from a real person — not an automated system — to rectify this situation without further delay.
This is a serious failure of customer service, and I expect it to be addressed with the urgency it deserves.

Thank you for responding, but your statement is simply not true. Nothing was “resolved” by PureGym. Despite multiple attempts to get help, nobody contacted me at any point, and I was forced to fix the issue entirely on my own.
As I clearly stated in my original review, the core problem is that PureGym has no functional customer service whatsoever. There is no one to speak to, no follow-up, and no support. For a company of this size, that is unacceptable. Whether it’s a sign of the times or not, it’s something PureGym urgently needs to address if they expect members to feel supported.
It’s also disappointing that it took two weeks just to reply here, only to claim the issue was “resolved” when absolutely nothing was done. This kind of response only reinforces the problem I highlighted in the first place.
I’m glad I managed to join on my own, but the lack of communication and accountability is exactly why I left this review.

No air con, no windows, and now they’ve taken away the fans. It’s hotter inside than outside in the summer. Can’t achieve a workout to the best of my ability because it’s too hot. Will be looking elsewhere. Equipment is always all over the place too.

Overall ok.
They reallu need to invest in some decent & reliable air conditioning & a women's only area. Spend the money.
The heating works fine all winter but why in a gym do I need the heat in the winter I go there and exercise so I'm warm, but no air conditioning in the summer so it's unbearable in there. Used to be OK when you were cheap but you are not anymore.
Women's only area would make me feel safer and less intimidated by the gym bros in there. Recent example me & my male friend both on smith machines next to each othet and I was further away and he approached to ask if I'm done, I had 6 more sets plus my 90 second break so said I'll be about 10-15 mins. He stood over me the whole time tutting & huffing as he's 'fed up of people who aren't serious taking up machines', I assume this is because I'm plus size and he thinks I'm new. My friend ended his sets early and gave him that machine in the end as he was making me so uncomfortable. This is one example of many at this gym.

Staff member was very rude to me commenting about what I was wearing which made me very uncomfortable I didn’t say anything back because I was so shocked how unprofessional the man was acting he mumbled something under his breath and waddled away. This is really putting me off going back there again.

Update 2: my day-pass was refunded! All good! I will give it another try once I am back to the UK.
Update 1: pressed the assistance button twice and waited 5 - 10 minutes but no one came. Unfortunately, no other way provided to get instant support (no phone contact etc). My e-mail and my Facebook messenger request on the same morning is still not being answered (48 hours later)
Original: Spend 9£ for a day pass and was not able to enter… nobody there to let me in, 2£ parking ticket also wasted

I got debited for a month, within which I wasn't available to go to the gym (due to Ramadan). I requested a rebate and this was offered for the next month's access before my regular subscription kicks back in.
Also, I have been offered the ability to freeze my membership due to my circumstances.
