Great gym with Friendly atmosphere
Have been a member of this gym on and off for a few years - best gym I have ever been to - Great kit and facilities, approachable staff and most importantly a really good atmosphere, suitable for all at all levels. Not intimidating as many other gyms can be. Really enjoy my workouts here

Cannot train around this gym anymore in a private setting. Just turn up, get your workout in and leave. Constantly manoeuvring around mobile phones and camera set ups for these people trying to create “content” none of them personal trainers 🤦🏽♂️ ?

Clean, spacious and welcoming gym.
I've trained in Pure Gym since 2012 and I've used this one in Portsmouth as my regular for the past 3 months. It's has a great selection of equipment, large free weights area and plenty of squat racks and smith machines. I use off peak so it's lovely and quite and I don't need to have to wait to use anything. The cleaners work hard staying on top of the mess that can build up, the showers are decent and well maintained. The staff are friendly and happy to offer advice or PT. The general vibe of this gym during the day is welcoming. If you're new to the gym and anxious then give this place a try, it's the best Pure I've trained in.

Went to pure gym for the first time
Went to pure gym for the first time, The one near me was very spacious which made me feel alot less anxious about getting on with my exercises. The equipment was vast and easy to use.

Hi Reuban - Thanks for taking the time to leave this review, we always appreciate and take on board member feedback. We are sorry to hear that you received a parking fine whilst using the gym. The car park is operated by a third party company in which we do not have any affiliation with. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to cancel such tickets. Information regarding parking is available on the home page of any PureGym which offers parking. The correct parking procedures must be followed, to avoid a parking ticket. We would always advise that you appeal the fine and explain the circumstances. If you get in touch with Member Services, we can also provide you with an appeal document which will be an official letter from PureGym Head Office, stating that you are a member of PureGym and your attendance log for the date in question, will also be provided as proof to show you were in the gym. If your appeal is rejected, we would suggest submitting a case with POPLA. POPLA are an independent appeals process which works with the Ombudsman Service. They investigate whether this fine was issued correctly in accordance with the terms and condition of the car park; whilst reviewing evidence provided in the appeal. On the rejection notice, there should be a 10-digit verification code, and you will then be able to submit an appeal with POPLA via their website: http://www.popla.co.uk/poplaappealprocess. Although we cannot guarantee they will cancel the fine, we do hope for a positive outcome. Thanks, PureGym.

I’ve just received an email about a…
I’ve just received an email about a temporarily out of use area at my gym at North Harbour, Portsmouth:-
‘the functional area will be temporarily out of use between:
9am Monday 24th February - 5pm Friday 28th February’
Which is the functional area? Will I still be able to enter the gym and use the equipment? If the whole gym is closed, and I have use the Fareham or Commercial Rd Pure Gym, will I still be able to access the main door with my QR code?

Cycle Studio- Digital cycle out of order
Cycle studio hasn’t been fixed so far, the only cycle studio in the gym, it’s frustrating that they don't keep spare one. Very very disappointing from PureGym Corporation.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment are fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. Thanks, PureGym.

Pure Gym, North Harbour.
Great gym, great PTs I use Aaron and he has worked a great plan for me that I feel is achievable and within reach but enough to keep me pushing for it.
The gym is always clean and friendly and when joining I didn’t feel intimidated with the unknown, the staff put me at ease with easy explanations from the start.

Great gym experience
The induction I received with Cristina was very welcome not having been a member of PureGym before & I haven’t used a gym in a while. She was very patient and able to answer all our questions.
I’ve accessed the Puregym building twice since joining for classes :- body pump & yoga & used a bike & rowing machine. The other gym users I’ve met have been welcoming & friendly.
Due to personal time constraints & illness I’ve not used the gym more but have done a couple of home workouts with the App.App is easy to navigate.
The building is well placed from my house so I walk there & back which gives me some extra cardio & I’ve felt as though it has a good atmosphere so I’m pleased I bit the bullet & joined. I very much look forward to visiting more regularly after this bout of flu!

PureGym Portsmouth North harbour.
The PureGym I use, North harbour Portsmouth , is the best I’ve used and I’ve used many. The atmosphere is a professional but friendly one .From all the staff ,to the members make it a great place to be.
All equipment is well maintained ,clean and tidy. The changing rooms and showers are again very clean and tidy, this creates a comfortable and safe environment to work in.
Plenty of free parking, what’s not to love.

Classes
Only really use the gym for the classes but unfortunately these are recently all being changed and now are mostly instructor led. I think this is partly a good idea but I use to enjoy the virtual classes and had a routine which worked around my work schedule to attend. I now can hardly attend any of the classes and the ones I could are fully booked.
