Fantastic gym
Fantastic gym. I loved it and plan on going again!
I have told my work colleagues about your gym and they woukd love to come and check it out. We have just opened a new site in Preston and we are all avid gym goers. Would it be possible for myself and the team to come and see the facilities available?
We will be based in Preston for the foreseeable future after moving from our former site in Lancaster where we were all members at a gym there and now looking to join one close to our new base.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Has all the equipment you need
Everything at pure gym is good. The gym is is always kept clean, and it has all the equipment u need if ur a power lifter, crossfitter or olympic weightlifter.the only thing I would say is replace the the metal racks with rubber ones as that degrades the knurling on the bar and get kettlebells that weigh more.

Generally fine
Generally everything was fine but there were 2 things I didn't like. The first one was dirty mens chang rooms (old dust on the floor). The second one was only 1 bench dedicated for bench press which was all the time in use. I had to move the equipment to do this exercise, but I didn't feel safe or comfortable with that setup.

Relatively straightforward to join
Relatively straightforward to join. I did so at the last minute after a friend suggested joining. I wish I'd looked at the different tiers properly as I opted for the cheapest in my haste and I then couldn't go during peak hours. I upgraded through the app easily the day after although I'm not sure if I missed out on the initial introductory saving for the first month.
Lots of alien equipment, which my friend helped with by way of an intro. I'll book a formal induction via the app in due course as there'll be times when I go on my own.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.

This gym is why I cancelled my puregym membership
This gym is why I cancelled my pure gym membership.
It is full of people not taking any exercise seriously and make it difficult for others to enjoy going to the gym. They have tons of signs about returning weights when finished but no one enforces them. I spend more of my time in the gym clearing up after someone else than I do focussing on my own exercising. If you do that at a gym like ultra flex, they have a 3 strike system and will remove your membership completely.
The staff there were absolutely useless. Approach them with Anny questions regarding help with exercises and they have no clue. How they are qualified as "personal trainers" is a joke.
No one there is looking out for anyone else. Ive been at the other side of the gym and had to help someone stuck under a squat because the people near by are too busy checking themselves out to help someone 3 metres away.
Would not recommend. If you're interested in joining, save your money and go elsewhere

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.

Cleanliness is shocking, the spin bikes haven't been serviced in years!
Decided to go back to Pure Gym having previously leaving back in 2019. Absolutely poor, the spin bikes haven't been serviced in the whole time I've been away - although I've been informed they get checked weekly and serviced annually!
The toilets are dismal, specially at peak times - you would think they would have a cleaner present when busy!
Exchanged emails with the assistant manager to meet and discuss and no response - they are not interested
