I've been going to PureGym Redditch, and overall, it’s a fantastic gym. The place is spacious, with a good vibe, decent music, and plenty of equipment to work with. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the manager deserves a shout-out for being great. However, hygiene could be better – it would be nice if more members cleaned up after themselves and if cleaning stations were brought back. A few more machines focused on lower body exercises would be a welcome addition too. Still, for the price, it's solid and worth recommending. Giving it 4 stars!

I have a disability and was informed that I would need a disabled person's induction. However, I tried to contact the Gym manager via the email link provided (twice) and no one replied.

Instructor didn't turn up to induction
Booked an induction online. No instructor turned up.
The one member of staff on-site teaching a class said it happens all the time, we waited half hour for his class to finish and he walked around with us which was the only positive aspect, so thank you Tyler. Why have a booking system with imaginary sessions?
Absolute nonsense ..
Another lady booked on to the same session had never been to a gym and was anxious, she was mortified this happened, an awful first experience for her.
Provided feedback on request by email, heard nothing back. So Pure Gym obviously don't care once you've paid, like it or lump it!
Doubt I'll renew after this first month.

Gym far too hot.
Cleaner doesn't need to clean every second of the day.
Nothing to wipe down machines upstairs.
All cardio machines are too close together and nowhere near the necessary amount of machines.
Go back to the Kingfisher Centre.

The new layout is horrendous
The new layout is horrendous, anyone wanting to do Cardio, find an alternative gym. All crammed together in the corner, all machines right next to one another, never any spaces, running machines facing walls 30 cm from your face. Suggest the layout plans are changed. Will not be continuing my membership.

Very good gym overall
Very good gym overall, I only go between 5am-6am so can’t say much for other times of the day. Haven’t had to interact with staff but all seem very pleasant and smile at you.
A load of equipment to use, only criticism is that there isn’t a huge variation in them, just a lot of treadmills and cardio machines - but that can be expected. Would recommend maybe a hip thrust machine and/or lower body focused machines as most are upper focused. So any information on new machines would be good.
Place is always tidy and music is good (I have headphones on so I don’t really pay attention), overall would recommend for the price.

Can't get intouch with any staff its a nightmare to change your membership even though it states you can ON THE APP YOU CANT ! YOU CANT USE ANY OTHER GYMS IM CANCELLING

Warm humid odorous environment in the…
Warm humid odorous environment in the early mornings 2-4am. Im guessing they have started switching the HVAC off at night to save money. I find the environment intolerable and have now had to quit. Will this gym ever be cool and fresh in the early mornings like it used to be?

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers.

Some further enquiries maybe? Over a difficult time with a lot to deal with treated staff, members, facilities with respect. 'Everybody welcome' confidence not harassment - not so from one of them. While unintentional 'sleeping' - no effect on anyone else such as the regular unpleasant and sick making effect of smoking and drug use - several more episodes than those reported, in a place for health improvement and partners British Heart Foundation! Poor show to remove chair from under person's legs trying to ease severely swollen feet/lower legs, unintended sleepness, also effect of prescribed medication. Good reason to suspend membership? 5/5/2023. End
