I have now left puregym crystal peaks…
I have now left puregym crystal peaks sheffield. The lockers in the changing room are insecure.they either have no doors on them or they don't lock. The changing room smells of urine and the showers are very unpleasant. The only hand dryer has been broken for over 6 weeks or more.people leaving weights on the machines or on the floor or against the wall. Not enough equipment loads of stuff you need for bodybuilding is missing. I have told gym staff many times about my concerns nothing has been done about anything. I also asked if we could have some v bars for the cable machines, again nothing happened it's not a big ask.certaian equipment is not maintained.all in all it needs improvement.

The location and price are great but…
The location and price are great but the layout of this gym is confusing. The decision to have weights over two floors is mind boggling, there’s only one of each weight machine so you find yourself going halfway upstairs only to turn round because the one needed is in use. There’s plenty of space downstairs to have all weights so this wouldn’t be a problem.
Things take a while to get fixed, the only hand dryer in the male changing room has been out of order for weeks.
Please turn the air con up, the heat is killing me.

Requires changes…
Changes need to be made to the format of the Gym to replicate the previous two companies formats.
All cardio machines downstairs in the big space that is hardly used and the eight machines and free weights up and down stairs plus extra machines I have mentioned before. Waiting times for certain machines is becoming unacceptable to myself and numerous others.
The Gym is still good value for money however.

Not to busy at the time i went
Not to busy at the time i went. Managed to get on eveything i needed. Clean environment and changeing area. Only downside was screws falling off my machine, and no one around to make them aware of the safety issue

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.
We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. Thanks, PureGym

The app is not user friendly and slow, won't provided me with the info I desire. payed for the membership plus and can't even access the nearest gym that ive travelled too . Plus the i signed upto home gym isn't open

Great equipment
What made my experience great was the equipment as it was a lot newer and better than my current gyms stuff as well as featuring a lot more giving my chest workout a lot more variety

Not as good as it used to be
I was surprised to find that the measures implemented in puregym during covid were not still in place as others still have clean down equipment, this made me feel uncomfortable as i was unable to clean down my equipment after use
I also found it a bit much that I had to key in my code outside before also scanning in once inside. The puregym in town just has the booth you scan into which then let's you into the gym
