Changed my life
I wanted to join a gym but didn’t want to waste a boat load of money in case I didn’t enjoy it
Anyway I started going in February and am still going in December three times a week!
Lost weight and built muscle and feel great.
Staff and trainers always friendly and helpful.

Excellent equipment and very good…
Excellent equipment and very good facilities for the price. Does what it says on the tin! the offering of classes are very good.
After being a member here for a few years the only thing I would say is that the groups of under 18 year olds that use the gym is starting to become really off putting.
While I'm all for people of any age wanting to keep fit - I’m seriously considering changing gyms because of the number of groups now using the gym as a social hub and it seems to be getting worse.
The socialising makes it difficult to get on equipment and can sometimes make you feel intimidated as a female.
At least 2 of my other friends feel the same about this and are also considering leaving.

Good value for money
Cheap and machines are good quality, value for money
but machines are sometimes out of order for weeks and almost every gym is always rammed unless you go at an inconvenient time

We are equally as disappointed when, from time to time, things go wrong and equipment has to be placed out of order. Regular maintenance checks are undertaken, and any issues identified are escalated to engineers straight away. Sometimes, there may be a small wait whilst engineers attend to fix any issues, but we endeavour to resolve these as soon as possible.
We’re afraid it's true, our gyms can become busy, especially at peak times. The busyness of the gym does fluctuate throughout the day, or depending on the day of the week and you can check how busy the gym is before attending on your PureGym app.
If you have any concerns about specific pieces of equipment in your gym, please notify staff on site as soon as you can and they will be happy to assist with this further.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Bought a day pass and the code provided didn't work. Unable to get any help from staff due to none being around. Pressed the buzzer for help and again no response. In the end I had to download the app and use the QR code to get in and due to the time taken to actually get in, i was only able to utilise the service for 30 mins for the price of 7.99. Wouldn't recommend.

The direct debit came through and said my 1st month was full price and it should be 50% off.Hence why not 5/5

I accessed a free 3 day pass to give me an idea of what is on offer and this helped me decide the right gym for me.
Affordable prices, great equipment, lots of women using facilities. I did not like the music, but can use headphones.

Easy to join

I have one complaint about class numbers which are not monitored, for the safety of everyone they should be, when equipment like bars are being used,it's inevitable at some point an accident will occur.

Great basic gym
Great basic gym with a fair and competitive monthly fee. Ideally located across the country which I use when I’m away from home.

I go to the gym every day religiously…
I go to the gym every day religiously and use the treadmill I burn 1000 calories every day by running for around 40 - 50 mins in total of a 7-8k. I love zoning out on the treadmill keeps me active all day and works for me as I have lost a lot of weight by doing this. So yes I do enjoy the gym and the facilities and it’s always clean.

Pure Gym at Millhouses 4.5*
I really like the Pure Gym at Millhouses, Sheffield. It’s large, over 2 floors and well laid out. Generally folks are respectful of using various pieces of kit. Couple of things to improve: cleanliness of water fountains (frankly this is not unique to this gym) and folks need to put plates and free weights back on the rack. Goodness only knows what some folks houses look like, I suspect their “bedrooms are a mess” :-0.
