Since joining the gym I can't fault any of the friendly staff or members they have been incredibly welcoming to me I've not had the greatest of confidence but I'm getting there slowly with the help from the staff and members I've met I just wanted to give a massive shout out to Alice who is the gym manager she is also a Personal Trainer who I'm thinking of having and she is the most amazing, kindest caring and supportive and understanding manager and she'll always have time for you if you ever need to someone to talk to or advice you'll please come and join you'll never regret it 💙

Dear PureGym,

Two weeks ago, the changing rooms were designated completely “out of action”. Understandable - these things happen. We were patient, adapted, and carried on with the important business of lifting heavy things, pushing and pulling equipment, and pretending not to notice users arriving and changing clothes next to the vending machines.

Now, the changing rooms are back in use ...but apparently the showers have taken a different career path. There are currently no shower facilities available.

Previously, we were encouraged to experience the gym’s tropical climate. Then, we grew accustomed to being offered the restorative benefits of an Arctic shower. Yes, balance is important.

PureGym Birmingham West now appears to have abandoned its wellness era [exercise followed by an increasingly intimate relationship with cold water] and instead seems to be promoting an organic, “au naturel” approach. I anticipate updated signage: “embrace the bacteria” or “celebrate going without basic hygiene.”

For those training before work, during a lunch break, or after a long day, I’m sure we can all agree that being able to shower is far more adult than relying on wet wipes. I’m sure there is a perfectly good explanation, and hopefully an equally good solution.

I appreciate the long, hot, dry summer, but this apparent water-saving idea is not acceptable, no matter how hard I focus on my intra-workout affirmations of “I’m feeling PureGym good”.

It would be genuinely appreciated if PureGym could provide members at Birmingham West with a clear update on what has caused the shower facilities to remain unavailable, what is currently being done to resolve the issue, and, ideally, when we can expect them to be fully operational again.

I was motivated and supported by the staff i saw,she’s an amazing person,i also met kind people who were ready to motivate me,i was impressed with the facilities i saw,i have no doubt i will achieve my goals

I liked the new layout and was able to use all the equipment I wanted to use. I liked seeing the timetable for classes up on the wall, so I was able to see if there was anything for me. Everything was very clean

The gym is kept clean, breakages are fixed quickly, the staff are friendly, there’s a just a good atmosphere about the place.

I would definitely recommend PureGym to a friend! The gym is always clean and tidy, and there’s a great range of equipment that’s easy to use and well maintained. There’s plenty of choice for different workouts, and the overall environment makes it a comfortable and enjoyable place to exercise. It’s a great gym with good facilities, and I’m really happy with my experience! 😊

Great place to spend an hour to get fit nice staff they don’t walk past & ignore you,you get a Good Morning or a hello so it’s a thumbs up for the Pure Gym team keep up the good work.

First time visiting the gym. Friendly staff. Plenty of kit. Looks good.

Awful customer service. Raised a complaint but they closed it as they were happy with their response without confirming I was.
It’s a shame their locations as so convenient as I certainly wouldn’t use these gyms for any other reason.

Love facilities, equipment, group sessions and all the trainers. Highly recommend them. Do join if you want to get healthier and you will love it.

Great, modern equipment, lots of space, clean and easy to use

I think the gym is actually pretty good. I signed up for the premium 24-hour option but, sadly, on 2 of the 4 occasions I've visited in my first week my pin hasn't worked and I've been locked out. There is basically no customer services to sort this out. When I entered 'pin not working' on website help page I was helpfully advised to 'enter the 8 digit pin and press enter' with no option to follow this up. So I basically cannot enter or fix this. I've cancelled my membership today.

Went to sign back up to puregym to get use of all gyms around country as I work all over and the price has gone up alot. Its insane nearly £40 a month when it wasnt even £30 the beginning of the year.

Why has it gone up so much its supposed to be the budget option. If it had better equipment I'd understand but its very basic

Always one of the best! 🙌 Back-to-back classes with Paul Henderson genuinely make you give your absolute best. Love that there’s a clear rationale behind every single exercise—Paul makes sure your form is perfect and that you actually understand exactly which targeted muscles you are working.
The Lift and Core class today was amazing! Now I’m thinking twice about my cheat day... or maybe I should just call it a celebration? 🏋️‍♂️🔥

Ease of access, good variety of equipment, availability of PTs, convenient location

Horrible gym, they claim to be 24hrs and have shut down the whole bottom floor which includes a studio, a grass cardio area and a whole weights section. I cannot believe that they have shut this off 10-8am, what happens to all of the people that go gym in the morning? Its an absolute joke and waste of money
