Lee…macnamara is the best personal trainer
I do personal training with Lee macnamara. He is great at encouraging and explaining things in all my pt sessions. If I don't get things right the first time around he always remains patient with me and we figure out different ways to achieve accomplishing what he wants me to do. When I do well in my sessions he always tells me I smashed the pt session. This a great boost to my confidence.

Go every week day
Its clean well staffed
Been going to this gym since January there are loads of classes which i personally dont go to but they are always busy

Gym is pretty good for most equipment…
Gym is pretty good for most equipment and is 24hrs. Down side is that the gym is extremely busy at most times and is full of young students that hang around in groups. The showers are terrible as always dirty and hot water is hit and miss. Locker room not equipped if u want to change/shower unless it’s extremely quiet.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.

Pure Gym has everything i need
Pure Gym has everything i need, it’s great value, it’s a large & spacious gym makes the gym feel much more empty than what it was with the amount of people there at the time during peak times. Everyone there was friendly including the staff who are always helpful. Being central to the town centre makes it an easy location to get to. I’m looking forwards to going again & i have recommended Pure Gym to other people.

Good but could do with more ventilation
The one I go to is new and clean with most of the stuff I could need only thing is it's not well ventilated so i can hardly breathe the changing rooms with everyone spraying deodorant around so not good for asthma

A lot of people are entering the gym…
A lot of people are entering the gym without being members which is annoying as they occupy equipment that paying members could be using and we as paying members should not be penalised because of others actions

Love the gym
Love the gym , but the some staff are always just in the staff room chatting about me group spend the whole time flirting with each other don’t come out at all for the hour and half I’m there

Overall experience after 4 months
Overall experience not too bad, I personally like to train there. It can get really busy at peak times like anywhere else. I have been a member for four months.I will leave my detailed review below:
1. Parking. You can park in St. George’s Car Park for free which is just a short 2-3min walk from the gym.
2. Changing room/cleanliness. I think the male changing room could be bigger for the size of the gym, but I never had an issue finding a free locker. The cleanliness of the changing room which I am the least happy with. The area by the toilets and the taps are always dirty and it probably could do with a bit of a refurbishment. I haven’t seen a cleaner actually cleaning in there yet. I have used other companies before in the same price range and I came across with cleaners regularly. I don’t use the showers, so I can’t comment on that.
3. Equipment. Higher end Matrix machines, dumbbells up to 50kg. Ski-ergs, really good spinning bikes, battle ropes, medicine balls, sand bags etc, loads of good equipment. Plenty of barbell free weight stations. Good number of benches as well.7 stations where you can use a barbell with free weights, which is quite good. The negatives for me are: Only 1 flat bench, at least one more would ideal and leg machines. There is no standing calf machine, one more free weight leg press would be nice and a hack squat machine. There is a good range of cardio equipment and a spacious fitness studio area.
Overall not bad for the price. If you are looking for a new gym or a change I would recommend PureGym Stevenage.

The changing rooms at Stevenage are too…
The changing rooms at Stevenage are too small & they never seem to be clean in the late evening when I use the gym (21:00 - 23:00). Safe facilities inside the gym for bicycle storage would also be good to have. The gym itself is: kept at a good temperature, spacious, clean with plenty of equipment. I have no real issues with the gym itself; the only slight concern is - there are no Triceps' Bars. Just to sum up the cleanliness & size of the changing rooms really let it down.
