Tidy space and aired rooms.
I enjoy my time at Puregym in Stratford upon Avon, can't have enough. I love how the staff is putting a lot of effort to maintain the gym clean. You can also tell straight away there a sense of community and family within the team which is important for them, they are also respectful and hardworking.

Staff are all lovely
Staff are all lovely. But I'm perplexed that there are no cleaning stations at all? And no cycle studio? It seems like most of the lower floor is dedicated to weights, benches, squat racks. What about the cardio queen's? :) Only a few isolated bikes I can see. Please bring in a spin studio and some cleaning stations.

Really need cleaning stations in the…
Really need cleaning stations in the gym as I see a lot of sweaty benches and machines. And it’s very unhygienic to reuse the same machines. The group class floor is sometimes extremely dirty. I understand gym is frequently cleaned but it is also very important to have cleaning stations. Very happy with the range of machines and workout areas but then again I am not happy to use the machines soaked in someone else’s sweat.

We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste. We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment.

Unfortunately, we are unable to monitor the usage of phones in our gyms, however if people are sitting on equipment I would strongly advise approaching a member of staff on the floor who will be able to help further

PureGym - Stratford’s newest teenager social club
I have been using this PureGym since it opened in December and I’ll definitely echo some of the points raised in other reviews. Mainly, teenagers - after about 5pm on weekdays this place is a social club/hangout for 15-18s.. I know some of them are under 16 because of my job. I’m not sure what can be done to rectify this now because they have their memberships but I know people who aren’t going back there because of this having signed up, I’m going to do the same. Lots of the lads can be quite annoying, poor etiquette, hogging machines, being silly (I’ve witnessed 4 boys rolling on the floor sparring and play fighting upstairs), some derogatory about other gym users and the girls tend to just wander around in pairs.. My advice would be go after 9pm, weekends before 10am or weekdays early morning or during the day on school days.
On the other hand the gym is well kitted out, you have room to work out on the floor if needed, good stock of weights and helpful staff.

A great addition to Stratford
Really friendly staff who try to keep the gym clean and tidy - although they shouldn’t have to as people should put their own stuff away!
The induction was really helpful and the range of classes is slowly growing, which provides good variety.
Good value for money considering the equipment and classes available.
A small point, but the preloaded barbells are in a strange place. There is no room to use them (particularly for lower body) by where they’re stored. It would be good if they were moved closer to the functional area.
I have not tried going in the afternoon/evening, but from the app numbers it seems very busy so that does put me off trying a later workout as I would be concerned that it would be difficult to use some machines. However, I tend to be able to use everything I want to when I go early on a weekday before work or early on a weekend.

My opinion on Puregym is good
My opinion on Puregym is good, I have a few comments, I know there are shortages in the staff, but you should check the toilets more often, especially the men's one, my husband pointed out the dirt in the toilets several times. There are no disinfectants and paper towels. I'm in the gym 5 days a week and most people are definitely under 16, the age of people should be more verified.
Classes are very great, friendly, very nice staff. In general, it's good at the gym, I think that a few changes will be even better, the most important are disinfectants and keeping order, especially now when there are so many cases of covid. Thank you and best regards
