Worth your money!
Flexible hours. Many classes to choose from at no further charge is the real deal. The gym can get a bit stuffy at times considering people are working out and sweating so a little more ventilation/ air freshness would be appreciated.

This gym is let down by its members. Ive visited over 40 puregyms in my time and Sutton is in the top 3 worst.
Its clean enough but the members gym etiquette is horrendous. Nobody puts weights away, random equipment dumped, kids running around, members are rude with very little hygiene and people park in the disabled bays.

Great that there’s a car park but can be confusing as to whether you have to sign in your car or not. Maybe easier to have a system where you put your details in once and then you’re covered for the duration of contract like the Streatham branch.

The changing room and showers are very dirty have been like that since the beginning of last week which was the 6th

Okay, bad toilets/showers
I like the gym and the layout is perfect. I find that the security of the car park could be better as I feel anyone can park there and the toilets/changing rooms are awful. The actual changing rooms are fine and the lockers are good but the toilets are disgusting and smell awful, the showers currently don’t have warm water (it’s literally ice cold) and for someone that uses the gym on the way to work this is annoying. It would be great if they were cleaned more regularly so that they don’t smell and the hot water needs to be fixed asap!

I visit the gym twice a week and to find out the equipment we were trying to use were out of order is not acceptable. This has happened few times now. Also you hardly find any instructors at the gym (especially in the evenings).
If the weather outside was predictable and can be relied upon, one could get away with using those free gyms in the park.

The gym is ok, although has regular annoying niggles.
The gym is ok, although there are regular issues with the spinning bikes not working, plus issues with the toilets. In addition, recently, no hot water. There is range of machines, weights and mats, although space is pretty limited when classes on. When not full. Would be helpful to have some of this free for others. It’s ok, convenient place for me & this is main reason I go.

Insensitive People, Who are Not being Challenged
I have been in the gym all my life and experienced many gyms in 4 different countries. I have never seen a gym that has so many people who lack the very basics of common sense, and the examples below apply to both experienced people (who have been clearly working out for many years), and to beginners. The worst part is that they are not being challenged and as a result, 80% of the people I see in that gym lack the minimum of common sense.
Examples:
- Most people use weights but never put them back. There is this big guy I saw this morning, he took a pair of 6 from 3 meters away, used it for a few sets, and left it there when he finished. We are talking about 3 meters. This is the rule, not the exception, with very heavy weights being left around regularly. I wonder, in their mind, who should collect the crap after them?...the girls that act as trainers? (I am being polite in saying what I really think)
- You put your mat down to work out, you are right there, you have your weights on the mat...what do they do? They walk right on that mat, and they did so during Covid, and they do it now...they don't seem to wonder "who will sniff my dirty shoes on this mattress", let alone COVID-related questions. I was curious the other day...I counted 4 out of 6 people walking straight over the mat
- Based on the above, the third observation is obvious...not cleaning the machines, even during COVID, was a 50-50 affair
I could continue but the fact is, the gym is full of people who expect to have the crap being picked up after them...and who are not being challenged either.
Instead, silly messages play on the TV, posters encouraging people to do the things that they clearly do not do...I wonder what is the impact of these messages?

Amazing
I stared the gym nearly a month and a half ago, there is a lot of choice when it comes down to the equipment. There’s cleaning stations too, which is a good thing to have and is appreciated. I’m yet to try the showers but the changing rooms are always tidy and a safe environment, the lockers are a decent size, when I come to the gym straight from work there’s more than enough space for everything I have which is super.
The environment in the gym is super friendly and large, the machines aren’t too close together which is nice. 5/5 for sure.

Lovely Gym
I am extremely happy when I visited the gym for the first time yesterday. I was impressed with the great quality of the equipment and how clean every thing was. I am very excited to be a member of this gym and this gym will help me achieve my goals.
