Affordable gym, but awful air conditioning!!
Cheap gym, has the equipment I need for my workouts. The times I go early in the morning, it’s not too busy.
The main negative is the air conditioning. This needs to be better. It feels like a sauna the minute you walk in. You can only get the air conditioning in certain spots in the gym. It is awful. If that could be fixed then it would be a good gym, I’ve been going for 2 years and nothing been done about it.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. My personal experience about Puregym is…
My personal experience about Puregym is the environment and the people it is the mixed people and different ages and the people there are more understanding but they know how to help and I prefer talking to them because with puregym they know how to keep personal chats private and confidential. they are super friendly. but with the previous gym I was at before Nuffield Health i didn’t enjoy it as much because I felt like I was surrounded by oldies and I did not like that at all. It didn’t make me feel I enjoyed and I did not enjoy being there. I felt like I was less motivated at Nuffield. With my membership monthly payment their prices have gone up and super expensive. In my preference I am still a young student who is still looking for a job and who is willing to apply anywhere, which I already I am. But overall with puregym it is more straightforward and convenient and makes you feel more motivated because on there wall upstairs where the cardio bit is, it says Remember why you have started. so I always look at that and think to myself I know what I need to be achieving here at puregym. Second of all I joined was because me and my Best Friend we joined together and I prefer working out with someone not alone, for example i barely used Nuffield’s gym i didn’t know what to do there but now I have a partner and we go to the same gym we’ve got a proper workout routine which is all good.

I’m on off peak, and it works for me
I’m on off peak, but it works for me as the number of people training on most occasions is reasonably low.

The class timetable is regularly reviewed in line with member feedback and on occasions will need to be adapted to account for the space in club as well as the staff on site available to run the classes.
If you have any suggestions the best way to pass them on for practical action is always to get in touch directly with the Gym Manager. You can approach them in the gym or leave a comment in the feedback box as this is regularly reviewed for updates and improvements. Thanks, PureGym

The water for showers is like warm that taking a shower now in this weather is not ideal.

Easy joining procedure online with all options explained. Access to induction which I didn’t need but was available. I did see someone being inducted on my first visit which was very thorough. Easy and secure access to gym. Apparatus well maintained and gym is clean and tidy. Toilets, changing rooms and lockers available (need your own lock). Clean water available free and other drinks and snacks available in vending machines. Also a subscription for flavoured water available. Overall a really good gym experience.

Good gym
Easy to join. Good gym with plenty equipment for all needs. Enjoying the app with some good training plans.
Only negatives are the app doesn’t always track workouts correctly and due to being unmanned at times, some underage visitors occasionally present.
Overall good though.

No Air conditioning at all .
Last 5 times at least no air conditioning.
Cannot remember the last time it was on.
Go in and come out as if I have been in a sauna. Not good at all. Please sort this important issue, thanks.

Air conditioning is never on in the cardio section and when it is it is blowing out warm air, the male changing rooms have been a disgrace ever since the main cleaner has gone back to India for his holidays!

Great if you need the gym at your time
The flexibility of gym access at all times is fantastic. The gym at Mannington is small but has everything I need. There seems to be poor attendance for early morning classes which means they are cancelled and this has disappointed me as I enjoy classes and early mornings suit me. Often I don't know that they're cancelled until I'm there this isn't such a bad thing as at least I'm at the gym so I just do my own workout.

Awful gym
Awful gym. Air con and WIFI does not work and to many people. you will spend most of your time wating for one of the two cable machines to go around 50 people. The gym has basic equipment for gym starters but your better of going to a larger gym to save waiting for machines. This gym is like working out in a shed.

The air conditioning is terrible and other issues!!!
The air conditioning is terrible, making it feel like a sauna as soon as you start working out. On top of that, the gym is always overcrowded, no matter what time of day you go. There isn’t enough equipment to handle the number of people. To make matters worse, the gym has a strong, unpleasant smell, especially on the stairs and sometimes downstairs, where the stench of sweat is overwhelming and near the toilets its smells bad too. I’d recommend avoiding it.

Could do better
The air-con hasn't worked properly upstairs for weeks, one of the showers hasn't worked for weeks and they still smell really bad. It's rare for the gym to be staffed and when it is I find the current manager quite unapproachable. Having said all that I do still enjoy the gym and the gym users are great.
