I like that I can just get on with my workouts, (I can’t do much atm because of a frozen shoulder) Lots of up to date working equipment. Toilets, changing rooms etc are clean.

Ghetto
Leather is worn out on the leg extension as well as other machines. Most if not all machines are loose. The free weights leg press machine needs maintenance. I’m all for everyone to having political views and affiliations but It’s in poor taste to write them on a gym mirror.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.
We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.

Bring back the love.
I have been a member for a long time and really enjoyed each visit. But of late standards are dropping with equipment being out of use for long periods of time which is frustrating. The staff did at one point check regularly but i have not seen this for a while now. The rowing machines have not had a full set working for many months. I hope to see this gym back on track as it seems to have lost the love.

Changing rooms
Overall the gym and the equipment wasn’t bad but one thing that really bugged me is the fact you don’t need a pin to go into the woman’s changing room, you can just walk straight in, anyone can. The showers have glass doors yeah some portion of it is frosted but absolutely no privacy.

During staffed hours the changing room facilities do not require a pin, whereas outside of these hours you are required to input your 8 digit code to enter either changing facilities.

Waste of money
Brought a day pass, the code didn’t work. Was at the pure gym entrance for 10 minutes trying to get the code to work, putting it in multiple times and it just didn’t. Was embarrassed as everyone else was able to get through apart from me and ended up going to another gym. £6.99 wasted, buying a code that didn’t work. Absolutely furious at that I can’t get my money or even try another day because it’s a one day pass.

Music from classes unnecessarily loud
Lots of equipment to use and even when at peak time not having to wait for machines much
The classes going on do ruin your experience. The music is unnecessarily loud, even with headphones on its all that cam he heard. There's no way that the being in the class need the music to be that loud

Wi-Fi not working. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff
WI-FI has not been working since I joined the gym and staff is not bothered at all. Unfriendly staff. Staff not keen to help with the machines (sort yourself out kinda situation)

Decent gym in terms of relevant…
Decent gym in terms of relevant equipment however since Covid finished the cleaning stations have pretty much disappeared.
Sadly people don't let the showers run when they finish for a small while to get rid of their bodily hair! (But that's not staff fault)
It would be good to have structured and noted time for cleaning as often I have gone to have a shower and the female cleaner is in there who doesn't seem very happy in her job shall I put it. Would be nice to know a set time or get a male cleaner so I can avoid her cleaning time as I need to get showered and gone quickly, yet I have no idea when she is going to be there or for how long and I don't want to get done for flashing having a shower while she is in there! :)

PureGym prides itself on being able to offer state of the art fitness facilities to our members in a safe and welcoming environment. We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste. We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment.

Equipment Material & Toilet Function concern
Need to ensure the equipment is addressed, inspected and updated because unfortunately on too many occasions several pieces of equipment have not been properly fit for purpose and ensuring the toilets function addressed appropriately.
