Overcrowded youth centre
Unless you want to go in at 3am it’s basically always full. There are no restrictions on the amount of people at any one time and sign ups are unlimited. If you have a routine to follow, prepare for it to take 4 times as long as it should whilst you wait for all the kids to get off their phones in between sets.

Our gyms are indeed very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website to see how many people are in the gym.
Please do feel free to ask to switch in with a member while they rest between sets, this can also help you keep an even pace between sets. Thanks, PureGym.

I tried to gain access to your…
I tried to gain access to your Trowbridge gym using the code emailed to me two days earlier. The code didn’t work and no opportunity to call a member of staff. I could see a desk in the gym but in the 10-15 mins I waited nobody was there. It’s an intimidating place at the best of times not the experience I was hoping for.

Each day pass expires at midnight. If you buy a day pass at 2pm, you have until midnight on the same day to use the gym. Please note that day passes do not last 24 hours.
These passes can be purchased for 1, 3, 7 or 30 days.
If unable to use this pass on the day, please reach out to our Member Services team who can re-arrange this for you! Thanks, PureGym
The facilities are really good
The facilities are really good. However I was surprised that there were no cleaning materials to clean down equipment before and after use.

We work hard to develop and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our gyms and apologise if this isn't up to your expectation .
We do ask all members to bring their own towels to wipe down equipment after use. This can be seen in our Gym Rules.

I applied the £0 joining fee code
I applied the £0 joining fee code. Which was accepted and even said, the monthly gym membership and £0 joining fee.. yet when the Payment came out I was charged £15 joining fee. Clearly not happy about this

Our promotional codes have Terms and Conditions associated with them and they should always be checked prior to joining.
For example, many promo codes can't be used in conjuction with pre-sale memberships, as they already have a heavily discounted reduction applied to their future monthly payments.
If you contact our Member Services Team via email on : member.services@puregym.com - They will be able to locate your membership and advise in detail why your code didn't work.
If it was a technical error, we apologise! Our Member Services Team will be able to help in your email thread and get that relevant promotion applied.

Good First Impression
Very easy to enter the gym. Even though it was busy, there were plenty of stations to work from. My only issue was, I felt the staff were not interacting with the gym goers and could have been more personable.

Great induction session
The member of staff was very professional and extremely helpful when I called into the gym. Joining and using the App was straightforward - I was able to book an induction session which was really informative. Again, the member of staff was knowledgeable and very encouraging which gave me confidence to try a range of equipment.

Ok, but too busy
The gym is always very busy and the equipment is of poor quality resulting in lots of breakdowns. The multi-gym has many worn components that are not replaced promptly. Staff is unfriendly and unapproachable.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.

I like the gym in general, but there is room for improvement
I like the gym in general, the staff is friendly. I don't like the lack of hygiene, as it should be a daily team cleaning all the machines and should be mandatory the use of towel on the machines, as per in all the European countries.
The entrance door was broken down for several weeks in winter time, which is unacceptable.

It's ok... could be better
Pure gym trowbridge seems to always need to be told to clean their toilets.
There could be a few more diff bits of equipment in the trowbridge gym, some vital bits missing that you have at the other gyms.

General review
Had a good class, friendly atmosphere. However the gym was very dirty and dusty, also the toilets were unclean and was clearly several days worth.
