Broken equipment
I have been a member for two months and from my very first day the air conditioning had been broken and all that had been done to fix it is a bucket put underneath the unit to catch the water that constantly drips out of it. Two machines have also remained broken since I joined which is frustrating as the gym certainly doesn’t have an abundance of equipment so when some breaks it has a major impact on the customers.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.

I love this gym, but..
I love this gym. I feel very comfortable there and am in a nice routine and have gotten to know the people who go at the same regular time as me. I haven’t given it a five as the ongoing issue with the air conditioning is a shame. I may be wrong but I’m sure I’m paying for a fully air conditioned gym. I don’t mind sweating but there are times where it is pretty uncomfortable in there! That said, it is the only fault. Atmosphere, equipment, staff, all good

The gym is awsome
The gym is awsome, it has all the equipment I need (and more) helpful staff, friendly members, free parking in a secure area, 5 mins up the road from me, reasonable cost....
Can't ask for more than that!

Absolute dive
Absolute dive. Machines are always broke, free weights slung everywhere and Changing rooms are filthy, toilets stink.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. Staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.
We fully understand the importance of cleanliness and will be dealt with.

My son has been at the gym for months…
My son has been at the gym for months and parks at the car park which is used for the gym and puts a ticket from the gym in his car every time. There is a new company covering the car park and putting parking tickets on lots of cars using the gym. Is this car park still available for gym users and are you aware of this company putting tickets on your members cars. As I think you will be losing a lot of business over this and you stated this car park was free to use while using your gym.

As per the gyms website - **At Waterlooville we have free parking for up to 3 hours. All members can claim their 3 hours by entering the gym and getting a Pay & Display ticket from the management desk before returning immediately to your car to display it.
If this is not done, then a ticket may be issued.

Love my gym experience at Waterlooville
A friendly, clean and efficient gym with all the equipment I need for my workouts.

Highly recommend
It's open 24 hours which is amazing. Loads of equipment to choose from. I'm really happy with this gym. The only change I'd make is the gym being cooler and some warmth in the changing rooms. Absolutely freezing. I wish I could swap the temperatures round.

No atmosphere and the studio is…
No atmosphere and the studio is absolutely freezing. Way colder than it should be
Gets 2 stars for being cheap but you get what you pay for I guess.

The gym is decent but very small and needs a lot more equipment. Further the changing rooms are disgusting and need some ventilation.

Good gym poor location
The gym is well laid out and clean, never have any issues getting on a piece of equipment, showers and changing rooms are good all at a reasonable price.
However - a couple of times I have gone during the time when the car park is chargeable there hasnt been any tickets, to be honest it would make more sense for vehicles to be registered than relying on tickets. I know this isnt in the remit of the gym, but this imo is the only thing that lets them down at this location. I do sometimes ride my bike but its not always possible.
I am thinking of paying the extra few quid another local gym - no hassle parking and there is a pool.
But overall for the price as I said - the things in the control of pure gym at this site are all good.

Attended Waterlooville as a guest…
Attended Waterlooville as a guest Sunday evening. A number of the machines not working but the most annoying issue was 3 young lads running around from one room to another! Obviously pay £25 a month to keep out of the cold. No one in the gym to supervise this behaviour it would appear?

Brandon the spinning class instructor…
Brandon the spinning class instructor looked like he’d rather be anywhere els, his form on the bike was dreadful!! Session was not planned (at least not well) tracks were non challenging and the instructor wasn’t encouraging what’s so ever quite frankly I was bored out of my mind and didn’t break a sweat neither did my heart rate reach 100bpm! Was he even qualified I do question
