I’ve been coming for almost two years and the staff have been absolutely amazing with me being a wheelchair user.

I wasnt expecting much from this particular gym with them having them all over the country. Thought it would all be a corporate disinterest but the gym is extremely well thought out and stocked with everything one could need. There are various exercise classes to get involved with and I love being able to use the studio space when classless for a more private workout session. It offers me a quieter space to work on my core for a back issue using Pilates and yoga. Its perfect for medative and stress reduction.
The gym is open 24 hours offering emergency contact after staff hours. It feels safe and inclusive and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
I'm glad I decided to join PureGym.

Joining is easy but it feels a little detached if I’m honest. Having not been to a gym in a very long time it was a bit daunting. Having a live chat to answer questions would have helped. Also having the induction session later in the day would help too.

I’ve trained at Pure Gym in Wrexham, Chester and Bidston. Love the gyms and the atmosphere.

So clean. No music. New equipment. You have the freedom to stay there and work out peacefully. Nice people . Nice atmosphere.

First time visit to Bidston Moss today. I was concerned I would feel out of place as I’m an unfit middle aged woman who hasn’t been near a gym for decades. The gym users were also friendly and a very mixed crowd of young, old and in between.
The gym itself is spacious which also helped make me feel relaxed and the staff were very welcoming, knowledgeable and keen to help me achieve my goals.
Don’t be hesitant - give it a try!

I’m very disappointed. Just signed up with PureGym in Wirral bidston moss only to get there and find out the ground floor is a construction mess! No access to shower or toilet and no staff to ask for help. I will be cancelling immediately.

Staff rude , to busy on there phones or talking about each other behind there backs . Ask for help and they roll their eyes!!! Avoid at all costs rude people !!!

I went on the website to check class list which showed lots of Pilates through the week , once joined showed only one class which I have to pay for and not available in off peak so now have to go through process of getting a refund

Very uncomfortable in there the staff was judgmental, iv been a personal trainer for 15 years , and when doing a close grip bench press a man who worked there came up and said we was doing it wrong when we absolutely not , ovs he didn’t no i was trained in strength and body building , personal trainer and a lot more qaulifications in fitness , I was taught many years ago wile doing my pt course you should never go up to anyone who’s in the middle of doing a work out and give your opinion we all have are own way of doing work outs unless you think there in danger then you should intervene to help 😬 bad experience sorry and this isn’t the first story iv heard about this place either ..

I went with my daughter it was very good experience and it’s very convenient and a good price to join

Good reasonably priced gym, short of some essential equipment, i.e. wall bars, paralletts

I have previously given a review on trust pilot regarding the spin bikes. The response to that was very generic and didn’t address my concerns. Despite paying more per month, the spin bikes need upgrading. I shouldn’t have to attend the class an hour prior to it just to get a bike that actually works. Pure gym needs to be transparent and tell its customers when or if the bikes are going to be replaced and also fix the music which often cuts out.

Full of kids standing around chatting and not working out. The ladies always smells like poo. The equipment is too cramped in some places on gym floor. You have to stop your leg press for someone to get past. The chest press was clunky. There are no windows to open which i find strange. Standing in the pod to go in and out is disgusting especially when someone smells of sweat and is unhygienic. I can still smell it when im standing there. Lots of people dont book into the class. So there were spaces left but when i booked on and went, it was absolutely rammed. Wasnt enjoyable. Some of the classes are same format as les mills from 15 years ago. The guy doing stretch class just decided he didnt want to take it one day. But actually came stayed and chatted instead to the members (?). Then the next time i tried the stretch class, he just did half the class instead of the full
hour. I need to find a serious gym
