I signed up and took the middle package…
I signed up and took the middle package out and with my student discount you should have taken out £20.99 but instead you took out £39.99 out of my mums account as she is paying my monthly subscription for me. I have sent several emails regarding this matter asking for someone to contact me but still nobody has been in touch and I am having to go through my bank just to sort all this out. Shocking customer service from such a large company

Overall good.....
Joining online and attending is really straightforward. It does always say join by midnight to get an offer. So don't feel rushed, you'll get another midnight.
The app is clear, easy to use.
I had one problem, there are very limited times available for induction sessions, working full time meant that I had to go in myself and figure it out. Which was hard to do because I was apprehensive and I also felt a bit silly not knowing where everything was.
Overall the gym has everything I need and I haven't felt anything negative whilst I've been in there using the equipment.
Classes are easy to book and there are loads of them to go to. Can fill up water bottle at the fountain. Cleaning stations for machines available.

All okay but there's a couple of things…
Everything is good in terms of apparatus and availability. Only a couple of constructive criticisms - quite a lot of the locks on the men's lockers are defective, they either need to be replaced or fixed. The cleanliness of the men's shower area needs some attention, it looks/feels dirty.

Overall a decent gym
Likes - classes are great. Not easy to get through but that’s what I pay for.
Dislikes - for a 24hr gym, wasn’t open 24/7 over Xmas (smaller independent 24hr gyms were with no staff on site over the festive period).
Cleanliness can be improved upon - the last 3 visits, the same hair clip was left in the same place and people leave gym bags on gym floor by equipment instead of using lockers. This just poses a hazard to other users and makes the gym floor look untidy

We gave all of our staff 1 day off for the year on Christmas Day to enjoy the day with their family and friends. Majority of our gyms re-opened on Boxing Day. Posters were placed in all gyms advertising the hours at least 1 week before so members were aware of this.

Some of the equipment in my gym seems a…
Some of the equipment in my gym seems a little outdated half tredmills seem broken or damaged the sit down cycle bike foot straps broken on one of the bikes they only have two up stairs they don’t have many arm curling stations and the brombough one the barbell weighs 10-45kg bars are to far away from the bicep, curling bench so you’ve got to walk across the room before you even get to sit down and by the time you’ve got to the other side someone’s already on the seat.

For months equipment is broken
For months equipment is broken, people book spin classes and 1/3 of bikes is out of use , speed monitors doesn’t work, tension is not working.
Speakers out of use many times, Pt microphones as well . No wonder people joining different gym chains as pure gym is going down

Affordable fully equipped friendly gym.
Fully equipped with plenty of machines and free weights.
Cleanliness is absolutely spot on.
Plenty of helpful Personal Trainers should you need one.
Lots of classes at different times throughout the day.
Friendly atmosphere.
24 hour opening is fabulous.
Membership fee affordable, different types.

Stay well clear from this gym. The pts aren’t nice people. They are suppose to help mental health where really all they do is cause more. They all talk about people behind there back and the pts also are sleeping with each other behind people’s backs. Vile people

Maintain and support
Where do I start…….It was between 2* and 3* it seems to go through stages this gym gets a new manager or deputy manager ( not sure who they are now ) in and it seems to get clean again and the equipment seems to get cleaned and maintained then it goes down hill again.
A lot of the machines and maintenance is seriously lacking, things need updating and it’s not been kept on top of the equipment is not kept clean or maintained.
The cleaning is hit and miss there is cleaning stations for you to wipe down equipment but upstairs is always hit and miss no spray or towels when the cleaners are not there.
Downstairs there are weights left out all over even though there are plenty of staff which should be asking and ensuring these are kept
In place .
There are loads of Personal Trainers if you want to hire one but seems to be lacking on the core staff walking around seeing if the gym and it’s customers are ok and the gym is clean and tidy and the maintenance of the equipment is kept up.
All in all if you just want a gym to go which is open 24/7 and go in and do what you need to do with no extras then it’s good

A good gym with knowledgeable, friendly staff but half the machinery is faulty. Great classes & it is fairly clean.

I’ve been training here since covid reopened the gyms. A great environment , PTs know their stuff and always ready to help ..
The times I use it’s usually busy ish but always manage to work my program in ..

Been a long time member
Been a long time member, gym instructors are great, really friendly and helpful - the classes are excellent but my main gripe is the spin bikes are no longer repaired in the same frequency as previously, every week it’s a scramble to get a bike that works, same bikes have been broken for months - it’s really a problem and needs addressing, instructors mic doesn’t work and even the clock in spin room has been stopped for months . Main gym is great, clean enough and equipment downstairs is maintained. Just needs regular attention to the spin suite and quickly
