Friendly atmosphere & clean
Recently joined & was shown around by a guy (cant remember his name!) was friendly and helpful and made sure to say theres no judgement and all abilities welcome. The gym is clean & tidy and couldnt ask for more especially considering the price

Couple of Tweets could be made
I think that the app is amazing and informative. I like the idea of using a QR code or pin number for access etc providing the WIFI is strong enough!!. The gym is large and well laid out. I think having a ladies only area is brilliant.
Tia who did the introduction was very friendly and informative and I felt that I could ask her for help etc at anytime when I saw her in the gym. Would give her 10/10 for making me feel comfortable.
A couple of negatives to the Wisbech Pure Gym are:
1. WIFI is non-existent. Pure Gym has the latest equipment yet it cannot provide suitable wifi at Wisbech. It needs to be addressed promptly as I'm sure people could leave as many use their phones for logging fitness etc,
2. Whilst I was there, unfortunately there is a horrible smell in the ladies changing rooms. The actual changing rooms were very clean and tidy, it was just the smell of drains.

Great new gym
Chris at reception did me proud as I'm73 and he showed me everything and how to use it. He helped me join and set up the direct debit.
The people were all frendly and there are plenty of equipment to use.
There is new air con being fitted hopefully before summer

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.

Showers dirty as well.

Good gym, great people, gym itself is ‘tired’ with poor decoration, cleaning is erratic.

got worse over time
In two years of going to the gym its has got worse over time and not getting any better and I'm looking for a new gym to go too.
They promise WIFI never happened and never got it in two years. But yet the staff have no issues getting online with the gym WIFI?!
No proper climate control. The main Air con has been broken for the last two years and instead of fixing they try using portable units that don't do the job so in summer its to hot and in winter the hot water temp is set to cold in the showers.
The showers, sinks and drainage stinks and gets blocked all the time. so the drains need sorting or fixing.
I now see more and more machines out of action and when there is only one of that machine it can be an issue to peoples routines.
The flavour water dispenser seems to run out of flavour all the time or be out of order.
There is damaged flooring stuck down with tape and silly stuff like that.
So they charge you and make promises of things they don't deliver and the gym is literally falling apart and it seems the company or management don't care.
So why should i pay a gym that don't give what they offer or take care of the gym and do repairs like they are meant to.
So other than friendly staff and a lot of nice people that go even though a lot have stopped going. I don't see any reason to go to this gym.

Is this gym 24 hours as I got a email saying it's unstaffed from 12am till 6amand can still use the facilities?
But in the reviews it says opens at 6am?

Monday - Friday 6am - 10pm, Saturday 8am - 6pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm.

Bad air conditioning
The gym is good but like a lot of reviews have said in the past, the air conditioning is still really bad. I know it isn't hot weather anymore but when you're working out, getting hot, having bad air con can affect someones health. There's big fans in the main area but there isn't any at all in the female area. Sometimes there is but for some reason they keep removing it?
The air conditioning seems to be a big problem looking at the reviews, yet still hasn't been sorted out.

The puregym team are very helpful and I enjoy the classes there. One team member Jake Gadsden is helpful and guides u in the right direction and he always likes a challenge which I enjoy and I thank him for that.

Everything you need for a good workout
I don't have a puregym near me but always use it when I travel, really good price, convenient and loads of equipment.
Gym is always clean and a good place to work out.
PureGym might not cater to a niche but its providing a great, safe and clean environment when anyone can enjoy fitness.

I gave 4 stars ⭐️ only because I think it needs air conditioning. The air quality in the summer is not very good due to the lack of air conditioner, otherwise everything is very good: equipment, staff very friendly and helpful.

Clean but sweaty
First time at the Wisbech gym and must say the changing rooms are the cleanest I've seen of the PG's I've visited. Didn't get to speak to any staff but people seemed friendly and polite when asking to use equipment. Equipment is nicely spread out so not on top of others while using kit and a good selection of equipment to use both fixed and free weights. The biggest downside is the heat! , there is a single AC unit and one large fan up one end of the gym pointing sides and doing very little to circulate or cool the gym down. This could be sorted very easily with correctly placed fans. I will be heading back but glad it's not my regular PG
