Old equipment. Very little variation of equipment. Didn’t have a clue where things were, weren’t categorised well (cardio area/weights area, etc.)

Had an accident in the gym and the staff supported me tremendously as this took close to an hour to get me sorted. It’s a place to be trust me

Susie knight , very good instructor, takes all sorts of classes from Zumba , dance ,pump , step, circuit . Inventive class routines, always looks like she enjoys taking the classes .

Great classes. Great instructors, that motivate you and you can have banter with. However it is in need of an equipment upgrade especially for spin classes.
In response to your reply to speak to management. When This has been done the managers are always knocked back from those above. This gym has been open for quite some time. I myself and others have been attending this gym since it opened. ( I am a dedicated member who as not absconded then returned) There have been NO upgrades in equipment since then. Spin bike are in a dire state. Come on bosses pull your fingers out please.

Fix the treadmills that don’t work, better ventilation as it stinks in there of sweaty socks!

Basic equipment and layout good showers and easy access . If you want an easy gym with simple machines and weights then this place is for you and its cheap.

The gym is quite basic and some of the equipment is out of order some of the time. But it’s a budget gym, so I think that some of the negative reviews on here are unfair, and the expectations of some people are unrealistic.
If you choose to go at peak times, it’s obviously going to be busy!
The cleaner and other staff members are busy every morning hoovering, wiping down the equipment, and cleaning the changing rooms.
Sam, the gym manager, is an absolute delight. She’s always smiling, and very friendly and approachable, so it’s a real shame that she’s moving on.

Variety of classes not what they used to be when I first joined. Classes being cancelled, top quality instructors leaving. Very few weekend classes, none on Sundays.

Gym class experience has gone to an all time low. With several instructors leaving.

The gym is fine generally, however the times during the week when it's convenient for me to use are peak times, which makes some equipment restrictive & increases the amount of time you need to do what you want / need to.

I wouldn’t call it a gym a gym needs a lot more available kit, personal trainers, fitness instructors, a gym is a place to motivate not demotivate the soul. I would call this a building for 15-17 youths and 60-90 year olds to go and meet and chat or people who are tight as fu ck, 18-69 you still got your brain functioning so you defo don’t go there you prob be better in a leisure centre😂😂

Some of equipment broken and bit worn. Not enough sometimes particularly treadmills.

At the moment there aren’t enough trainers at the gym which means that there are some days where there are no classes on or classes are not on at times that are suitable. There is also a lack of variety of classes at the moment with the majority of classes now seeming to be pump (I do love pump but I don’t want to do it every time!) The trainers that are there are fantastic, especially Sarah who is very knowledgeable and keeps everyone motivated. It would just be nice to have some other options such as kettlebells or combat.

Aging machines, rubbish cleaning stations and full of school kids standing around in packs doing very little. Shame the staff or the gym don’t require some sort of verification of age, the gym isn’t big enough to have children running around

I have got to be honest. Pure gym just is not the one, I can’t talk for the others but Wrexham just is not a vibe. It’s disgustingly busy, always. And the kit is extremely limited in terms of weights, if you want a treadmill (assuming it is working!) there a loads. But the actual kit is sparse, there is next to no room to train if you’re doing cardio or your own workouts if there is a class on. It’s always dirty, no day light, it’s so dingey and genuinely stopped me using the gym as it was low key depressing going there.
No offence to those who use this gym regularly, If it works for you, it works for you but it has never been and will never be a gym that I enjoy attending. I’d much rather drive to Chester ‘Gym Group’ than go here.

Been a member for a few years. Would give five stars but most of the treadmill don’t switch on never mind how long you press the on button. The exercise bikes all have broken foot straps except two which are always in use at busy times. It’s sad to always see the members trying to find equipment to work.

Sarah is a really good instructor. People shouldn't be able to squash in at the back of the studio, not when there is room at the front

Totally agree with comments on spin classes. Monday early morning class needs improvement and more structure. Saturday morning class should be reinstated too
