When i came to look around the instructor was very helpful and spoke to me not at me. Being a big lady, i feel comfortable coming to this gym any time of day as there is no judgement. Its always clean, tidy and friendly

Whilst in the gym it feel like the air…
Whilst in the gym it feel like the air con is never on in there. Sometimes it's so bad that you feel like you are going to pass out. Head office please can you allow the site to control their own air con as the current set up isn't working effectively. Or get someone out to look at it.
The classes are great, staff are very knowledgeable and very friendly.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure this is addressed in club. Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers.

We have recently made slight changes to the shower temperatures, to 33 degrees, both to control our energy usage and to reduce our carbon footprint. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities, and we would like to thank you for passing on these concerns.

It's a great club but would appreciate having a cleaning station so members can clean down the machines after sweating all over them !

PureGym prides itself on being able to offer state of the art fitness facilities to our members in a safe and welcoming environment. We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste. We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment.

Super helpful staff
The manager was very encouraging during class and helped everyone. I’m a type one diabetic and he ran to get me a lucozade when my sugar level dropped! He also messaged me after the session to check I was doing ok! This is a lovely gym to work out in!

Good equipment shame about air con being off most of the time making workouts miserable

Hi. Thank you for leaving us this review. We appreciate and value our member feedback.
We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure me meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based upon size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored.
With regards to the temperature in the gym, we use air conditioning units which heat the air when it drops below 17.5C, and cools the air when it goes higher than 21.5oC, keeping the temperature within the gym at an acceptable level. This is regularly checked to ensure the units are operating as they should be across all of our gyms.
On occasion, we can get faults on our ventilation and AC systems which is normal. When this happens, there is a process in place to ensure we arrange for our contractors to attend, investigate and resolve the faults and return the systems back to full working order within a timely manner.
All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes.

Smaller than expected but good
Smaller than expected but good. Avoid going from 5-7pm as packed and not enough machines. Could have more machines as people are waiting to use them

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.
